Started barbering at 15 years old — long before I had a sign, a shop, or even a proper set of clippers I could call my own.
Training back then wasn’t glamorous. An hour in the morning, an hour at night… standing in front of a wall doing scissor-over-comb up and down until my arm burned and my speed and control started to mean something. No shortcuts, just repetition, patience, and a stubborn refusal to be anything less than precise.
Fast forward to today, and Chaps Barbers is something I’m genuinely proud of. Built from those early mornings, late nights, and a whole lot of “just keep going.”
And then there’s this clip… my grandsons first cut (clipper guard firmly on, safety first 🤣).
Last week Leo was going to be a barber when he grows up. This week he’s going to be a Jedi.
So for now, maybe hold off booking with him… unless you’re after a Jedi fade and a bit of the dark side shaping your neckline.
Although I’m starting to think those two solid hours of scissor-over-comb up a wall might actually have been Jedi training all along… 🤔
