If I had to start my PMU business again with no money this is exactly what I’d do…

✨ Master one treatment first. Don’t try to offer everything at once. Become known for one thing before adding more treatments. Find training that allows you to split the investment into manageable and affordable payments.

✨ Get a friend to help you create content. Film treatments take before and after photos and capture behind the scenes clips. You don’t need a professional setup to get started.

✨ Bring in a handful of free models and make the most of every appointment. Create reels take great before and after photos and build a portfolio that gives future clients confidence.

✨ Set an introductory price with a clear end date. Once your model period is over increase your prices to where they should be. Don’t stay stuck charging beginner prices.

✨ Stop running offers every month. Constant discounts lower the value of your work and teach people to wait for the next deal.

✨ Run competitions to grow your reach and attract new followers. They’re a great way to get your work seen by more potential clients.

✨ Use free marketing. Post consistently on Facebook Instagram and TikTok. Go live share your journey and let people get to know you.

✨ Talk about your business everywhere you go. Friends of friends nights out dinner parties and even the supermarket. Some of my best clients have come from everyday conversations.

✨ Be smart with your money. Save where you can but never cut corners on your machine pigments or quality products. Great results come from great tools. That £50 takeaway could be a new piece of kit or products that help grow your business. Make the money first then enjoy spending it.

✨ Reinvest your profits back into your business. Better education better products and better equipment will always help you grow faster.

✨ Finally, find a training community so you’re not left on your own with no idea what to when you’re holding your certification.

You don’t need thousands of pounds to build a successful PMU business. You need consistency patience and the willingness to keep showing up every single day.
