Before I start the Korean lash lift, I trim away the false layered lashes first (with the clients approval) because they can interfere with the lifting process

When false layered lashes sit on top of the natural lashes, they prevent proper shield attachment. That means the solution can process inconsistently, which often leads to an uneven lift, irregular curl patterns, or lashes lifting in different directions

Removing that excess layering allows me to work directly with the main lashes, giving me better placement, cleaner separation, and a much more balanced result

Proper prep is essential for achieving that smooth, precise Korean lash lift finish
