My first. My safe space.

The place where I learned how to dream, how to work hard, how to lead a team — and how to see all the different shades of myself along the way.

How I show up for me. How I show up for the people on my team. How I show up for every client who walks through that door.

This little place has shaped me so much.

I really do think entrepreneurship is one of the most spiritual things you can do with your life. It shows you your weak points and your insecurities, but also your strength. It shows you what you still need to learn and what comes naturally to you.

It’s great and it’s hard. Beautiful and terrifying, sometimes all in the same day. And I think anyone who’s chosen this path knows exactly what I mean. I wouldn’t go back.

I hope we’re all working on our dreams, in whatever way we can. Because dreams and plans aren’t that different, you know? Sometimes a dream just needs you to start showing up for it. 🤎

We’ve had a few conversations in clinic lately that had absolutely nothing to do with treatments.

One started with a client telling me what she wanted to do next in life. Then came the list of things other people thought she should do. And I’ve noticed how often that happens when women talk about their lives.

Get married. Have children. Don’t wait too long. Or don’t settle down yet, go and see the world. Be confident, but don’t be too loud. Put yourself out there, but don’t take up too much space.

Everybody has an opinion, and they seem to have even stronger ones when they think they know you. Maybe they’ve heard something, seen something, or followed you online for a while. That still doesn’t mean they know the reasons behind your choices or the battles you don’t talk about.

I think it takes a different type of balls to stay authentic through all of that. To keep building a life that feels like yours, year after year, when it would be so much easier to make yourself smaller and keep everybody else comfortable. It takes discipline, and it takes bravery too.

So if you’ve been sitting with someone else’s opinion of your life, ask yourself: would I want to swap lives with this person? Would I go to them for advice? If the answer is no, you don’t need to carry their criticism either.

You have your reasons. You know what matters to you. You do you, boo — and save your people pleasing for yourself and the people you love who love you back.

Men are definitely having their moment in aesthetics… and I’m here for it. 🤎

Over the last few years, I’ve noticed such a change in the number of men coming into clinic wanting to look after themselves — and the conversations around male aesthetics are becoming so much more normal.

And no… looking fresher does not have to mean looking frozen.

For most of my male clients, the conversation isn’t about changing their face. It’s usually:

“I look tired.”
“I look angry when I’m not.”
“I just want to look a bit fresher.”
“I don’t want anyone to know I’ve had anything done.”

And that is exactly where a considered, natural approach comes in.

Male facial anatomy, muscle strength, facial movement and the result someone wants all need to be assessed individually. There is no one-size-fits-all treatment plan — and preserving your natural expression will always be part of the conversation in my clinic.

Because prescription-only medicines are exactly that — prescription only — everything starts with a proper consultation. Where clinically appropriate, treatment involving a prescription-only medicine requires assessment and prescribing by an appropriately qualified prescriber.

No trends. No copy-and-paste faces. No “more is more.”

Just a proper conversation about what is bothering you, what would actually suit your face, and whether treatment is appropriate for you.
