To all Valued Customers of The Barber Shop.

I’m sad to announce that I’ve taken the decision to close the shop permanently.

The Covid pandemic has had a massive impact on trade at the shop. With ever increasing costs and sadly decreasing customer numbers it has become a decision I’ve had to make on whether it is viable to open. The possibility of another year of uncertainty influencing customer confidence is another factor.

A great opportunity to have a complete career change has come my way and I’m excited to be making a start with this in the new year.

So finally I’d like to thank you all for your custom over the last 25+ years. I’ve had some real fun times with you over that time, with so many of you becoming friends.

I must admit it was very odd locking the door for the final time last night.

Good morning!

Thought I’d give an update on how things are working at the moment.
The appointment system seemed to work really well on returning from lockdown. So much so and listening to customers, I’ve decided to continue with this. However my aim is to not block book myself, this allows for people to continue with walk ins when time allows and hopefully accommodate everyone.
The guidance I’ve received recommends I continue with wearing a face mask, I’m happy to do so, but I’m happy to let customers decide if they’d like to wear one too.
I’m lucky that the layout of the shop allows for good ventilation, certainly at this time of year.

Not long now! In less than 11 hours my first Customer of 2021 will finally be in the hot seat! I’m obviously looking forward to getting back to it, if a little anxious after so long...
However I’m really looking forward to seeing you all!

Hi All!!
It’s looking like we’re on track for a 12th April return!!
I’m taking bookings for when I return and the first week back is pretty much full.
However there’s the odd space here and there, so if anyone would like to get in touch for an appointment please do! Certainly from the 19th I’ve a lot more availability if you can hang on just one more week!

Pleased to have finally got a date for reopening!! Fingers crossed that all goes well and it doesn’t change!
A few people have already been it touch so I’m making a start on taking bookings. I’ll be opening once again from Monday 12th April so please get in touch to arrange an appointment.

Firstly I really hope you and your families have been keeping well!!
I’m obviously keeping up to date with the latest news and without allowing myself to get too excited I’m really hoping I could get a opening date soon. Reading through the lines I’m hoping it could perhaps be mid March, if not sooner!
So fingers crossed for that and feel free to get in touch with your details and I’ll start booking people in as soon as I’m given the go ahead.

Sorry folks, once again sadly it seems I have to furlough my scissors and pickle my clippers.
At this time it’s unclear how long these latest restrictions will last.
Once a date has been confirmed for when I can continue please get in touch and I can book you in. The last couple of lockdowns have proved it’s been difficult fitting everyone in the first week back so getting in early with your details is recommended.
