🌿 One of the most important things I do during a massage is listen to your body.
Not just through touch, but through everything your body is communicating.
I notice your breathing.
Slow, calm breaths tell me your body is beginning to relax and trust the touch. If your breathing becomes quicker or more guarded, I slow down and give your body more time and space.
I notice the little things too the position of your feet, your hands, your shoulders and the way your body naturally rests.
I’m looking for softness.
For areas that have released.
For places that are still holding tension.
Massage is physical touch, but there is so much more happening beneath the surface.
I’m constantly listening, adapting and responding to what your body is telling me.
