So today arrived…. We turn on the lights ,put a fresh pot of coffee on, have a cuppa & chats before the first client arrives, the open sign goes on the door and our clients arrive with their smiles & hugs……All one last time today at my very own salon 🥹
What a ride it’s been! It’s now about going back to “ just being a hairdresser “ a more relaxed life and having some more time to spend outside of the best job on earth! I super special shout out to 🫶🏼
To my team for their hard work and support, and your incredible skills. Im so so proud of you all, working so hard for your own small businesses! I know you will all continue being successful and will thrive as you grow, the talent you girls have blows my mind!!
This is the end of The Stock Room but it’s not the end for us, we will continue to work our magic in different local locations in Norwich. It’s time to say an emotional goodbye to my dream a made come true and I wouldn’t change it for the world, my little salon… The Stock Room 31/10/25 🫶🏼🥹

RIP Trevor Sorbie 💔 A sad day for our industry…

Trevor Sorbie M.B.E.
13th March 1949 – 8th November 2024
 
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of one of the industry’s most iconic figures – Trevor Sorbie M.B.E.
 
Renowned for over five decades for creating many inspirational and groundbreaking hairstyles which not only appealed to hairdressers but also to the public, Trevor’s TV appearances and product line made him a much loved household name. 
 
Throughout his career he selflessly nurtured and mentored many of the industry’s greats, encouraging them to be the best they could be. Right until the end Trevor was doing what he loved best – working with hair and collaborating with his team. 
 
Our thoughts are with his wife Carole, his family, his team and the legions of hairdressers Trevor has inspired.  
 
Fellowship Patron of Honor, Fellowship Lifetime Achievement Award, Fellowship Icon.
