Learn how to give this incredible Ayurvedic Touch Therapy with me over the course of a year. One day a month we will dive into learning how to reduce the effects of stress, release deeply held traumas and rejuvenate the body as we work through all the tissues of the body and regenerate over a year.

At the end you will be certified and able to get insurance to practice and help give this wonderful full body oil treatment to your own clients. No previous massage experience is required as it is a gentle anointing of the body with special herbal oils. During the training you will simultaneously be both a client and trainee therapist as you learn this ancient treatment.

A trip to Milton Keynes to reconnect with these spring chickens πŸ˜πŸ™

Meet Dr Athique and his wife Meulin. These two beautiful souls hold a special place in my heart and are the source of the work I do today. Dr. A as we refer to him is now pushing 83 and still teaching Ayurveda and is full of as much spirit as ever. He was my first Ayurveda teacher when I started learning Ayurveda nearly 23 years ago with πŸ€“πŸ“š

I was overjoyed chatting to him hearing how he is teaching Ayurveda today and making it relevant for the current environment. He is very forward thinking and that I am sure is in part what keeps him so youthful, like many great Ayurveda masters.

He is deeply inspiring and a great model of what is possible at any age. I left with my heart feeling full of gratitude for the past and present.

6 layer pistachio and matcha birthday cake for my bro πŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’š

I would share the recipe but I massively freestyled and have no idea of what quantities went in πŸ˜†πŸ™ƒπŸ€·πŸ½β€β™€οΈ will have to repeat another time.

Did you know pistachio nuts are excellent to have before bed to aid sleep? They are packed with magnesium, vit B6 and Tryptophan. You can make a delicious milky drink with them. Just follow my nut milk recipe substituting pistachios for almonds πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹ awesome for pacifying vata heads

Happy Saturday 😘😘

Cauliflower and Potato Soup recipe

Cauliflower and potatoes are two vegetables that often tend to cause excess wind for some people. They are a good winter crop though so we can learn how to balance them out.

To minimise this potential I made this delicious soup with lots of cumin seeds.

Recipe

Olive oil or ghee
1/4 teaspoon cumin seeds
Small pinch turmeric powder
1 Leek diced
2 potatoes diced
1/2 cauliflower head
500ml veg stock
Additional unrefined salt and pepper as required
Walnuts to serve

Lightly sautee the cumin seeds then add the turmeric followed by the veg and stock. Put a lid on, bring to the boil then simmer for 10 minutes until the veg is soft. Season as necessary and Serve with some walnuts and fresh green herbs if desired.

The warmth of the cumin and turmeric are ideal on cool, damp winter days. The gentle warmth and the fat helps balance out the astringent nature of the vegetables too. πŸ˜‹πŸ₯£πŸ₯°

Time for Tea 🍡 πŸ˜‹

Very important to make time for tea....for me with the heat of the summer still in force I have been enjoying recently Pitta tea from sold by

This tea is such a wonderful blend of mint, rose, lemongrass, blackberry leaf amongst others. All classic Pitta/heat pacifying herbs. All of which have been blooming in my garden recently. Nature provides whatever is needed in a given season to help counterbalance the effects of the season. Will share more on each of these in the next days so πŸ‘€ out. So if you have been feeling hot, inflamed, irritated, agitated and angry these are the kind of herbs that can feel like a cooling breeze physically and emotionally.

In the meantime i am going to get off IG and enjoy my perfectly brewed tea whilst daydreaming about my garden 😍🀩😁

Today saw the graduation of my Norwich Amnanda students following on from my London group in July after a year long training programme.

So excited to see these incredibly talented, compassionate and skillful therapists reach this point. I know they are going to help many people over the years heal and rejuvenate.

Congratulations πŸŽ‰ to those on IG in Norwich London .yoga.meditation Manchester
Bunty Bailey and Kate Carter

I wholeheartedly recommend all of them and if they are not near you check out www.amnanda.eu to find someone who is.

I will be starting new trainings in Norwich in October the first group is already full and there are just 2 spaces left in the 2nd. Let me know if you are interested.

Amnanda, translates to pathway to joy. It is a 12 month whole body therapeutic herbal oil treatment process that deeply rejuvenates and helps the body and mind move on from past traumas. A great all round treatment for treating the impact of stress. πŸ˜πŸ€—πŸ₯°πŸ™Œ
