✨ NO LONGER PETRIFIED ✨

Some of you who have been here a while, or just had a binge.. you may remember this client.

She came in genuinely petrified.. so petrified that I would have put money on me walking back in the room and she was ready to leg it.

But nope, she was on the bed. However, she couldn’t bring herself to get into the “butterfly” or “smear test” position for me to wax her.

I told her how proud I was of her over and over again, because it was absolutely incredible watching someone face a fear in real time and push through it.

I took her for a Starbucks a couple of weeks after and we honestly spoke about everything BUT her appointment!

This woman will always be a hero in my eyes, for more reasons than this. It just also helps that she’s my vibe to a tee!

But if you’ve had 5+ waxes with no form of hair removal in between and your hair doesn’t seem to have thinned out. Do yourself a lil favour and check whether that is actually the case, by doing this.

Whether someone describes you better than you can yourself or whether your work ethic hasn’t gone unnoticed and you’ve been given a better job role to suit your potential.. whatever it is, it’s so nice to feel seen!

Whoever you are, it could be so easy just walking around, being a spectacular human. But what if someone were to not only notice.. but SHOW their appreciation for who you are?

Now that’s who I always aspire to be. Someone who sees potential and points it out. Someone who admires others, even if they’re doing better than herself.

Life is so much more than envy and so much more than the du***ss feelings we can get towards others when we’re not quite where WE want to be.

Go out of your way to show your appreciation to someone you think is doing amazing in life today, no matter the reason ♥️

✨ NO TALKING WHILST WAXING ✨

I completely understand that some clients may want a silent appointment and I also understand that I am the LAST person that some people would want to wax them.

As much as I would, of course, cater to a shut up of the gob hole for a client who needed it that day, but generally.. I attract clients who need a natter for distraction, for a release and for comfort.

Just don’t expect anything to make sense 🤣

For some, it’s the p***c bone, for some (like me), it’s the top of the l***a and for some, it’s the strip that goes from the b***y meat, up to the bottom section of the l***a.

I bloody hate it when I’m half way through a wax and get asked this! I used to zone out mentally whilst going auto pilot physically to zone IN to answering the question 😂 it’s a different story now! This was recorded in March and I’ve since learnt my lesson! 🤣

✨ PERCY THE PILE ✨

Imagine.. well over 50% of my clients have an external haemorrhoid, big or small, and we’re apologising about them or just simply so embarrassed, that we need to mention them! I promise you, they’re SO common.

Please, please understand this.. I am self employed. This is MY business and therefore, what I CHOOSE to do.

Why do I choose to do it? I’ll tell you.

Growing up, I never understood why others chose to pick at others’ appearances. For a small chunk of my childhood, I was actually a sheep and would chime in. I done this as I thought I was weird because I didn’t think like them. I genuinely wondered what was wrong with me.

I noticed my mindset was changing. I was getting less and less motivated, I didn’t want to work, the thought of chilling every day sounded amazing. I felt negative, I felt lazy, I was sceptical of everyone and deep down, I was getting a bit jealous of anyone who was actually doing something with their life. I would have never admitted that though.

I soon realised that I no longer wanted to be like them.

I became unapologetically myself. Back to complimenting strangers, back to getting up in the morning without complaining, back to smiling and back to the mindset I would have grown and improved, before I allowed negativity into my life.

After 6 and a half years of making women feel beautiful and practically earning nothing but dopamine in my first business, I learnt that it was time to step up.

I don’t find bodies weird, whatever they look like. Bodies are normal, however they come. My brain knows that every single body in this world looks different, thighs, tummies and ge****ls included. They’re just like a thumbprint.

If I don’t find bodies weird, I’m certainly not gonna find chipped toenails, hairy legs, a boil, stretch marks or piles weird. Bodies come with these things and so, so much more.

Anywho.. after deliberation over how I’m going to better my business.. I started a new one.

One that allows any body to enter, without judgement, without critique, without extended anxiety.

And with that.. came ✨The Waxapist✨ where comfort is key ♥️
