Why do I love retinol so much? ❤️

Because retinol is used in both the medical and beauty industry for the treatment of acne, sun damage & fine lines and wrinkles, it has undergone EXTENSIVE clinical trials.

Anti-wrinkle injectable treatments are great but a holistic approach to healthy looking skin must be taken for those really looking to make life-long improvements.

I know a lot of you get nervous about starting a retinol because it can be very harsh on the skin if not used properly.

So here’s some advice for my beginner retinol users:

1) START SLOW. Use a pea sized amount once or twice a week and build up to 3/4 times a week over a period of weeks. Listen to your skin, if you’re experiencing extreme dryness or sensitivity, drop the frequency.

2) Do a retinol sandwich! Even after using retinol for years I still do this. Moisturise, add your pea sized amount of retinol and finish again with that same moisturiser.

3) Retinols increase your skin’s sensitivity to UV, so you must use a broad spectrum UVA/UVB every day. Atleast spf 30.

So I went to the donation centre this week for the first time after hearing about the blood shortage. I’ve spent the last 10 years giving blood transfusions to poorly children and I thought it’s about damn time I donated some of the good stuff.

UNDETECTABLE yet such a difference 😍

This was only a few hours post Profhilo treatment, but full results will take 2 weeks.

We can struggle with volume loss as we age, most notably around the cheeks. A few squirts of Profhilo instantly fills the cheek bones and lifts the face, giving a soft plumping and a natural glow 🌟

This beauty is fresh off the needle and has a slight bruise to her bottom lip, which is completely normal and will settle in a few days ❤️
