Those little vertical lines around the mouth can develop over time because of repeated movement, loss of collagen and elastin, and changes in the support around the lips.

The important thing is that there isn’t just one way to treat them.

Sometimes a small amount of anti-wrinkle treatment can help with movement. Sometimes skin treatments are better for improving texture and collagen. And in some cases, carefully placed filler can help restore support and soften the lines.

It really depends on what’s causing them in the first place — which is why we always prefer to assess the area properly rather than jump straight into one treatment.
