For this length we've used hard gel which is a file off only product. We've moved this client from builder gel to hard gel since her nails have improved over time

Builder gel is better suited to short nails, it doesn't have the strength to support longer nails whereas hard gels have a similar strength to acrylic. Much more durable and stronger!

I very rarely do soak offs, there is no need to dry out the skin/ hands continually. This can lead to over exposure of acetone unnecessarily. If you're using a clear base when applying, this is where you can see the natural nail plate so when removing you can check on the health of the nails

Maintenance day for this lovely where we did a builder gel overlay using .co.uk

At each appointment I will remove the previous product by 80%. This ensures that I can see what's going on underneath and I can check the clients natural nails are sound

When you remove your extensions, gels etc and your nails look like they've been through the war it could mean a few things:

1, They've been forcably ripped /pulled off by the client

2, You have a tech that doesn't care about your natural nails

3, You're so used to having rings of fire or damaged,weak nails that you may believe that's normal when getting your nails done....

After a full removal whether extensions, overlays etc your nails should be healthy and thriving. There shouldn't be any damage
