Flexing and tensing during and immediately after a workout helps bring out striations and definition and helps develop muscle control.
Of course other factors probably hold greater value towards the aesthetic - hydration, BF%, glycogen levels, genetics, yada yada but it still stands as an exercise.
You're essentially playing around trying to get every single fibre involved by working through different ROMs.
For chest - stand as if you're holding an umbrella. Tense hard and push your hand across your body, towards your other shoulder and beyond. Still tensing, fully elevate the scapula and internally rotate your shoulder joint slightly, feeling as you go. Depress the scapula. Aim for 30 seconds or more maximum effort. Posting for the muscle nerds.

Pretty fu***ng chuffed with that. Built with front squats, staggered stance leg presses, duck toed deadlifts and quad extensions, with plenty of intensity techniques - super high reps, 4s negatives, dropsets etc.
Oh and eating way past the point of satiety most meals.

Ossu! First Jits session in months, and with Coach at Was a pleasure (relative term, if you know, you know) to learn about Knee on Belly - a position I've been on the wrong end of many a time 😂 and learnt some basic fundamentals of BJJ. Can't wait to get into all the classes down at the UFC Gym. Osss 🤙🏼

The dedicated few that dragged themselves out of bed to put in the work at 6.30am! An absolute pleasure to work with all of these guys, no matter who you are or what you're looking for, I genuinely feel you can derive benefit from Boxing. Mental and physical strength, friendship, achievement and enjoyment. My Boxing conditioning classes are on Thursday @ 6.30am and Saturday @ 9.15am. Off to BJJ shortly after a great session 👊🏼

Been needing to utilise this more and more, to ensure I maximise my 'free' time and get necessary mundane jobs done.
I even had to 'CounterPunch' my way to post as I've not been sharing as I was. Feeling revitalised, and exceptionally excited to press forward.

My good friend came down to check out the gym, including East Midlands only whole body Cryotherapy can't wait to try it out myself after learning the science behind it (analgesia, endorphins and noradrenaline anyone?)
A seasoned amateur, he makes his professional debut on Saturday 19th October, alongside some absolutely cracking Nottingham Boxers, a lot of which I've had the pleasure of training alongside - probably wasn't pleasurable at the time mind you 😅I cannot wait, Nottingham is a hotbed of fighting talent, come and see it first hand
Coming in HOT 😂 So it's been well over a decade since I was 'une traceur' and was running around rooftops in Nottingham, back flipping off of phone booths and running up walls Matrix styleee, so I thought I'd try my hand at it again. Graceful I am not! Came in super hot, planted both feet, threw myself at the wall and muscled my way up 😅

A huge thank you to for the deep tissue work he gave me last weekend. Like a barber, the thing that sets good and great masseurs apart is the attention to detail they give. I genuinely felt that Cyrus was working each muscle until he was satisfied with the change mad and not for some arbitrary length of time. Cannot recommend him enough and will be regularly visiting him from here on in!
As an aside, he's also only the 2nd person I know who knows about Jori (2nd pic) and other Indian strength training ( being the other) clubbells
