BED 10…

We have replaced our Bed 10. This is now the same stand up sunbed as we have in 1,2 and 3.

The room is now much more spacious and being located by the back door, it benefits from a bit more airflow which will keep you cooler during your sunbed session.

As this is a brand new bed with brand new lamps, please remember to reduce your minutes on your first few sessions.

Warm weather notice…

We will remain open for as long as the salon and beds can safely operate within the recommended temperatures, however your wellbeing will always come first. The heat can affect everyone differently, so please take extra care of yourselves before and after tanning.

Please make sure you are:
• Drinking plenty of water
• Eating properly throughout the day
• Avoiding sitting out in the sun before or after your session
• Reducing your minutes where possible during hotter weather

If at any point you feel unwell, dizzy or uncomfortable, please let a member of staff know immediately. We are always here to help. Please also be mindful that your health is our top priority and we may refuse a session if we believe you may be at risk.

Although weather like this is extremely difficult for salons like ours and, truthfully, we are not making anything from remaining open in these temperatures, we know many of you still rely on us and we would feel awful closing unless absolutely necessary. If we do need to close, we will always call or text you if you have an appointment booked.

We are keeping the salon as cool and comfortable as we can for those of you choosing to visit us, we simply ask that everyone tans sensibly and listens to their body.

We have recently had an increasing issue with banned creams and tanning oils being brought into the salon, often hidden in bags and personal belongings. Unfortunately, when staff politely ask about products being used, we are sometimes being misled.

To be clear, we do not allow any tanning oils on any of our sunbeds (stand ups or lie downs). This is not only due to the damage they cause, but also because they make our floors extremely slippery and unsafe for staff and clients.

We want to be transparent about why this is taken so seriously. These creams pictured cause permanent damage to the acrylics and internal parts of our sunbeds, affecting hygiene, performance, and the lifespan of the equipment. Replacing damaged acrylics and carrying out repairs is extremely costly for the business and results in unnecessary downtime for our beds.

We invest a huge amount into keeping our salon clean, luxury, and maintained to the highest standard for every customer who walks through our doors. We therefore ask that all customers respect the salon, our staff, and our equipment by ensuring only approved tanning products are used.

Please understand that if banned creams and oils are found to be in use, future appointments may be refused and your account will be closed. This is not something we enjoy enforcing, however protecting our business and maintaining standards is essential.

If you are unsure whether a product is suitable, please just ask a staff member so we can advise. We are aware that there are many more banned creams than pictured in this post however these are the main ones.

Frequently asked questions and some information…

We are currently welcoming a very high number of customers each day, so during peak times we may not always be able to answer phone calls immediately. Online booking remains the quickest way to secure appointments, and cancellations do become available throughout the day. If you are struggling to get through by phone, please message us via Instagram or Facebook where we will respond as soon as possible.

Please also remember that we operate a strict Challenge 25 policy. Valid ID will be required upon entry.

To maintain the quality, cleanliness and condition of our equipment, oils and banned creams are not permitted within the salon under any circumstances. Any customer found using banned products will receive an immediate ban and minutes will be taken to cover the cost of the damage to the equipment. If you are unsure please send us a photo and we can advise.

We are card only in the salon. Please keep this in mind before visiting us.

As temperatures rise within the salon, please tan responsibly and reduce your minutes where necessary. If sessions are ended early, unused minutes cannot be added back.

We kindly ask all customers to clean their bed thoroughly after use using the blue cleaning liquid and white roll provided in each room.

When leaving your room, please leave the door slightly open rather than fully closed. This helps our team know the room is available and keeps appointments running on time for all customers.

For parking, spaces are available next to Subway under the yellow barrier by the nursery, or within the bowling alley car park where the QR code must be scanned with your phone on arrival.

Our staff work incredibly hard throughout the day and are trained to keep the salon running as efficiently as possible to accommodate as many customers as we can without causing delays. At times, hold ups can happen if rooms are occupied longer than expected, and we kindly ask for patience and understanding during these moments.

It has been lovely to see so many new faces coming into the salon recently, as well as welcoming back customers we may not have seen for months. As always, thank you!

As the weather becomes warmer, our beds naturally run hotter. For your comfort and wellbeing, we recommend arriving well hydrated, having eaten beforehand, and considering slightly shorter sessions where needed. If you get off the sunbed early, we are unable to give you the minutes back.

We are currently experiencing a very busy period, with many of our lie down appointments reaching full capacity. If you are no longer able to attend, we would greatly appreciate as much notice as possible, as missed appointments will still result in minutes being taken.

We truly do appreciate your patience. Our team is doing everything we can to ensure every customer is accommodated as smoothly as possible.

We still accept walk-ins. Wait time will vary. Please remember to remain in the salon if you are put on the wait list.

BED 4 - Ergoline Prestige BlueVision

We have two positions available at Skinz Tanning.

Working hours:
Monday to Friday between 12:00pm–8:00pm
Saturday: 8:00am–1:00pm or 1:00pm–6:00pm
Sunday: 9:00am–1:00pm or 1:00pm–5:00pm
(We can offer flexibility with shifts where possible.)

This is a fast-paced, high-demand role within a busy salon environment, serving approximately 300–500 customers per day. The position requires maintaining exceptional standards at all times, including the thorough cleaning and preparation of sunbeds, alongside delivering a high level of customer service.

This role is physically demanding and suited to individuals who are proactive, efficient, and able to work well under pressure.

Applicants must be aged 18 or over due to working with UV equipment.

Full training will be provided.
