On Monday, Skinz Tanning officially turned five.

The photos in this post are a little look back at where it all began. It’s crazy looking back at those early days and seeing just how much Skinz has changed and grown over the last five years.

We celebrated over the past two days with our anniversary offer, and just over 600 customers visited us. It was honestly so lovely to see the salon so busy and full of familiar faces again. We’ve had a quieter period recently, so seeing so many of you come through the doors to celebrate five years with us really did mean a lot.

I want to say a huge thank you to all of our customers, especially those of you who have been coming to Skinz for years. Some of you have been with us from the very beginning, and that is something I’ll never take for granted.

As a small independent business, your support genuinely means so much to us. Every time you choose to come back to us helps keep our business going, and every interaction you have with us will never go unnoticed.

I also want to say a huge thank you to all of our staff, both past and present. So many people have been part of Skinz over the last five years and have helped make it what it is today.

And to our customers… thank you for sticking with us, supporting us and genuinely making running Skinz so rewarding. One of our favourite things about Skinz has always been our customers. Seeing familiar faces week after week, having a chat and getting to know so many of you is a huge part of what makes Skinz feel like more than just a tanning salon.

There have been plenty of highs, lows, changes and challenges over the last five years, but looking back at where we started makes me so proud of how far we’ve come.

Thank you for being part of our journey and for helping us reach five years. We truly wouldn’t be here without you.

🤍 A LITTLE CHANGE OF SCENERY FOR OUR 5TH YEAR OF SKINZ TANNING 🤍

With our 5 year anniversary just around the corner, we thought it was time to give Skinz a little refresh.

Fresh paint, new chairs, a new sunbed and a few finishing touches have given the salon a completely fresh feel and we absolutely love how it’s turned out.

We’ve always wanted Skinz to feel clean, classy and a little bit different, and we think this refresh really brings that together.

As we head into our 5th year, we’d really appreciate your help in keeping the salon looking this way.

Please treat the salon with the same care we do.
Keep the chairs and surrounding areas clean, dispose of any rubbish and leave everything as you found it.

We’ve put a lot of time, thought and investment into making Skinz the best it can be, and keeping it looking this way makes such a difference.

THE K11 — FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS: Since introducing the K11, we’ve had lots of questions about what makes it different, how it works and why it’s priced separately. So, here are some of the questions we’ve been asked most. IS THE K11 JUST ANOTHER SUNBED? No. The K11 is a premium hybrid tanning experience, combining high-performance UVA & UVB tanning with advanced red light technology and a range of additional features. WILL I TAN FASTER IN THE K11? The K11 is designed to deliver a more powerful tanning experience. However, everyone’s skin responds differently to UV exposure. We recommend reducing your usual tanning time when first using the K11 and allowing your skin to adjust. CAN I USE THE K11 WITHOUT TANNING? Yes. The K11 can be used specifically for its red light experience without using it as a tanning session. If tanning isn’t your goal, you can choose the dedicated red light option, making the K11 a completely different experience. WHY IS THE K11 MORE EXPENSIVE THAN OUR OTHER BEDS? The K11 offers considerably more. The K11 PLUS is a completely different level of technology to a traditional tanning bed, using thousands of LEDs across UVA, UVB, red light, infrared and NanoBeauty technology. We know the K11 is a new concept for many of you, so rather than us trying to tell you how good it is, we’re recommending that you simply try it for yourself and see what all the hype is about. WHY SHOULD I TRY IT IF I ALREADY LIKE YOUR OTHER BEDS? Because you don’t have to replace your usual bed, the K11 simply gives you another option. If you love your usual tanning routine, keep it. But if you want to experience our most advanced technology, a different tanning experience, red light options and a more premium session, give the K11 a try. CAN I USE A CREAM ON THE K11? Yes. We always recommend using a suitable tanning cream when tanning. As with all of our beds, we will check your cream before your session to make sure it is suitable for use on the equipment. DO I NEED TO REMOVE MY JEWELLERY? Yes. Please remove all jewellery and metal accessories before using the K11. This helps prevent scratching the acrylic and avoids unwanted tan

The megaSun K11 PLUS brings together powerful full-LED tanning technology with thousands of red light and NanoBeauty LEDs, infrared technology and advanced cooling for an entirely different tanning experience.

The tanning technology provides powerful, even UVA and UVB exposure, while the additional red light technology is designed to support the skin’s natural collagen production and promote a smoother, more radiant-looking complexion.

The K11 also features a dedicated UV-free Beauty Light programme, allowing you to experience the red and near-infrared light without tanning UV.

Combined with infrared warmth, AquaCool, climate control, premium 3D sound, Bluetooth and wireless phone charging, every element has been designed around both performance and comfort.

On Thursday 3rd September, our brand new K11 Plus will be arriving, and we honestly cannot wait for you to experience it.

We’ve invested in one of the most premium sunbeds we’ve ever had at SKINZ, designed to make your tanning experience feel completely different.

The K11 Plus combines powerful tanning technology with an incredibly luxurious experience. The K11 Plus combines advanced UVA and UVB LED tanning technology with thousands of red-light LEDs, giving you the option to tan or simply enjoy the dedicated UV-free red-light experience without tanning.

It’s been designed with comfort, technology and the overall tanning experience in mind, making it something really special.

As this is our premium sunbed, the K11 Plus will be priced higher than our other beds, reflecting the level of technology and investment that has gone into bringing it to Skinz.
