A little information about the treatment:
MLD is a very gentle, slow and rhythmic treatment designed to encourage the natural movement of lymph fluid.

For the treatment to be carried out correctly, some areas including the stomach, groin and breast/chest area may need to be accessed. Your comfort, dignity and privacy are extremely important to me.

💗 Breast area: When working on the breast area, my hand will always be placed on top of your hand while performing the technique. This is to ensure you remain comfortable and maintain a clear boundary throughout the treatment.

You will remain appropriately covered, and I will explain everything before and during the treatment. Your consent and comfort are always my priority, and you can ask me to stop at any time.

✨ What is Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD)? ✨

Manual Lymphatic Drainage is a gentle, specialised massage technique designed to encourage the natural movement of lymph fluid around the body and help reduce swelling.

Unlike a traditional massage, MLD uses very light, slow and rhythmic movements on the skin. It’s not about deep pressure — instead, the therapist uses specific techniques and sequences to encourage lymph fluid towards functioning lymphatic pathways and lymph nodes. 🌿

MLD can be used as part of care for certain types of swelling and lymphatic conditions.

‼️🌿 Who Can’t Have Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD)? 🌿‼️

Manual Lymphatic Drainage is a very gentle treatment, but it isn’t suitable for everyone.

For your safety, MLD should generally be avoided or postponed if you have:

⚠️ A suspected or confirmed blood clot (DVT) or another acute circulation problem.

⚠️ An active infection, such as cellulitis, especially in the area being treated.

⚠️ Uncontrolled or severe heart failure, as moving additional fluid back into the circulation may place extra strain on the heart.

⚠️ Acute inflammation or sudden, unexplained swelling until the cause has been assessed.

⚠️ Certain untreated cancers or other serious medical conditions, where treatment should first be discussed with your doctor or medical team.
