Deep breath Siobhan….

Today I want to talk about something deeply personal.

I live with PMDD (Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder), and it’s so much more than PMS.

The mood swings, the anxiety, the exhaustion and the feeling of not recognising yourself are hard enough. But one of the darkest parts is the suicidal ideation that can come with it.

Imagine feeling so low, so overwhelmed and so unlike yourself that your own mind becomes a frightening place to be. Then, your period arrives and the darkness is immediately gone.

But sometimes two weeks of the month are consumed by this.
And if going off people’s reactions to me sharing this over the years, then there are a lot of people struggling with it who don’t know they have it…. hence this post 🫶
I literally ended up googling ‘extreme pms symptoms’ and thankfully found the answer in pmdd.
There are lots of treatments available and if this sounds familiar, you are not weak, you are not broken, and you deserve help and support 💙

A little salon update 💙

From 1st September, I’ll be introducing my updated treatment prices.

I haven’t increased my prices since August 2024, and during that time the cost of products, supplies and running the salon has continued to increase. I’ve also taken the opportunity to properly review the time, expertise and value that goes into each of my treatments.

After reviewing my pricing, I’ve realised that some of my treatments have been considerably underpriced, so there will be some larger adjustments alongside some smaller increases, with some still remaining the same.

I know that price increases are never anyone’s favourite news, but it’s important that my prices reflect the quality of the treatments I provide and allow me to continue running the salon sustainably.

The new prices will apply to appointments from 1st September 2026.
