Town Barber Too

Yesterday we were closed for a funeral. We know it will have inconvenienced people and maybe annoyed some. We are genuinely very sorry. We are a small business and sometimes you have to put work aside as life, and death, happens.
If you've ever been in the shop and you've had to wait longer because there's just one of us working, something is happening and they can't miss it. It might be a school assembly or supporting a friend or visiting hospital. It won't be because they just can't be bothered going to work.
It was my Dad who passed away.
Adrienne and Joanna wanted to attend and support. They have been amazing both work wise and more importantly supporting me as for 2 months I've been a mess, been pulled from pillar to post and hardly done any work.
99.99% of our customers are amazing but if you have an issue please tell me and I'll write it down and throw it away. If on the other hand you've sent me a nice message, had a chat with me, offered support, or given me a handshake or a hug, thank you so so much.

Back open Tuesday at 8am, that's EIGHT AM.

Yesterday, after 34 years at the old shop, we had our first day at our new shop...
What a day !!!!!
I don't think anyone saw that coming !!!!!!
The Market was absolutely packed all day. Thank you so much to all the people who came for a trim or just to say hello and wish us well. It means a lot. It actually means more than you think.
Some people get sad about change. For me personally, I don't get attached to bricks and windows, it's people that make things special. Whether it's friends, family or customers.... it's the people.
If you arranged a get together with mates or family in a room for 5 minutes or 2 hours you will have a great time. It doesn't matter if the walls are made of gold or chipboard and it doesn't matter if you are drinking champagne or tea, the right people in any room in any setting is priceless.
Yesterday was priceless.

It's normally 8am Monday to Friday and 7am on Saturday but change brings change.

As most people now know....
WE ARE MOVING !!!!!
The brand new Market Hall is opening on Saturday 28th March.
The current indoor market hall is closing on Saturday 21st March but those with a front door can still trade after this date for a while.
We will still be open in the current spot for some of that in-between week but we don't know for how many days yet. Check here or Google for details closer to the time.
The new shop is being fitted out and will be ready and open Saturday 28th March.
We will be inside the new Market at the Parliament Square entrance then first on the left.
Can't wait !!!!

It's Creme Egg time again !!!!
You have helped us proudly support this fundraiser for Francis House Children's Hospice since 2017.
You have literally raised thousands of pounds.
The eggs you donate are popped in a chick and sold all over Greater Manchester. We also sell them in the shop but every single egg donated will be sold on. They always want as many eggs as possible so drop them off with us and we will take them all down.
Or if you want to make a cash donation we'll put that towards buying as many creme eggs as we can.
Please don't think 1 egg donated or a 50p donation is too small because it isn't.
