Is a barbering qualification actually worth the paper it’s printed on? 📜🤔

In the UK, barbering isn’t strictly regulated. Most shop owners don’t ask to see an NVQ or college certificate—they put a pair of clippers in your hand and give you a trade test.

So it makes you wonder:

❓ Is college necessary, or are you better off learning directly on the shop floor?

❓ Should our industry be formally regulated to maintain standards?
