It takes time to perfect your prep, application, filing BUT time passes anyway, so you may as well put in the effort🤷🏼‍♀️

• it’s okay not not have all the expensive equipment to start with.

THIS is one thing I struggled with, i felt the need to have all the expensive and top brand equipment all the experienced nail techs have. even when I did buy and use it I was still so nieve thinking it would automatically improve my work, which to an extent it helped but only by practising and reflecting on my work is when I realised that was the key to success🥳

• Clients will come & Go.

Be grateful for the ones who stuck by you and still continue to support you now. The real ones are who have sat in your chair for 2hrs + when you first started🥲

• Constructive criticism is key!

I’ll be the first to admit I used to hate anyone giving me feedback on my nails. It made me want to throw away my qualification and all my products and never go back to doing it again. It’s only recently I realised this is KEY to fixing your mistakes you made. Every piece of feedback is your opportunity to learn what clients love & where there’s room for improvement✨

I love looking at where I started to where I am now! My work isn’t perfect but it’s so much better compared to where I used to be! When you’re focusing on every little detail, it’s easy to over look how far you’ve come🙌🏼
