Today, I had the best experience .

I am embracing my grey 🫣 after going grey at 22 I have battled to keep it covered for years.

But now, being empowered not just by myself but the amazing women I meet daily, I decided to go for it.

The brief was a hard one.... I want to blend the multitude of colours in my hair and make it natural.

A tough feat I think for the most experienced.

when I saw needed models, I enquired, to be honest, not expecting much. I didn't think it could be done.

Wow, how wrong was i! Abbie smashed it! She's Still training and took my complicated ass on! 😂 and I'm no hairdresser, but even i can see how good her fitting is already!!

With a little help from Anna, this is how I left! I don't even know who I am 😂

The salon vibes where just like ours, chilled, empowering, supportive, laughs where had, and I felt like I'd known them years!

Ladies, I would highly recommend!

I needed to step away for a bit.

Not because I don’t love what I do
but because everything around it started to feel… off.

The noise.
The pressure.
The constant need to show up, post, perform.
The wrong and misinformation and techniques.
The sea of poor standards and quality being celebrated.

It got to a point where it felt like
if you weren’t “winning” on social media,
you were somehow falling behind.

And that didn’t sit right with me.

Because I didn’t build this to be a content creator.
I built this to be good at what I do.

To create.
To take my time.
To make women feel confident, comfortable, and empowered in my space.

But when you’re in it every day,
you start seeing things you can’t unsee.

Brands pushing reach over real technical ability.
AI-generated images being used to sell results that don’t even exist.
People stepping into educator roles before they’ve fully mastered the basics.
Techs prioritising online success over skill

And the biggest one…

New techs learning from what looks good online

instead of what actually is good.

That’s where the damage happens.

Because real skill doesn’t come from trends.
It comes from time, repetition, focus, and doing the work properly.

And when that gets overshadowed,
it affects confidence, standards, and honestly… mental health too.

I’ve felt it myself.

So I took a step back.

Spent time with my family. Gave myself time and reset.

And reminded myself why I started in the first place.

Not for likes.
Not for numbers.
Not to keep up.

But to build something real.

So this isnt me coming back, i never really left but just setting out clearer boundaries, stronger standards,
and a lot less interest in playing the game the bu****it way.
