They don’t tell you how much goes on behind the scenes. The comparing, the self-doubt, the quiet weeks, the investment, the endless researching and questioning whether you’ve chosen the right training, machine or products. They don’t tell you about the admin, stock runs, consultations, cancellations and all the little things nobody sees.

But they also don’t tell you how much you learn about yourself along the way. Every hurdle makes you work harder, learn more and believe in yourself a little bit more.

And doing all of this alongside a busy NHS role, three children aged 7 and under, a self-employed husband and a very busy family life definitely keeps me on my toes! 😂 Some evenings when the kids are finally settled, I’m still on my iPad working away. My 2-year-old now even says, “Mummy working.” 😂 It can be a juggle, but I’m incredibly proud of myself for giving this a go. I’m building something that is mine, learning every single day and showing my children that you don’t have to have everything figured out to take that first step.

And then there are the moments that remind me exactly why I started. 🤍 When a patient messages me saying they’re buzzing with their skin results. When someone tells me they actually enjoy looking in the mirror again. Those messages mean more to me than they probably realise. They give me that little boost of confidence and remind me that I’m doing something I genuinely love, helping people feel more confident in their own skin.

KD Aesthetics is still growing, and so am I. I don’t have it all figured out, and I certainly don’t get it right every time… but I’m learning, I’m showing up and I’m enjoying the journey.
And I honestly couldn’t do this without the people who have supported me from the very beginning. 🤍

To everyone who trusted me enough to let me practise on their skin, recommended me to friends, family and colleagues, shared my posts, booked with me, encouraged me and genuinely hyped me up from day one — thank you.
