HALMAI Nail Drill Review

I’ve been testing out this HALMAI nail drill after it was kindly gifted to me, and I wanted to share my completely honest thoughts with you.

HALMAI kindly sent me this nail drill to try and asked me to give my review, so here are my genuine thoughts after using it.

Firstly, for the price, I think this is a really competitively priced e-file, particularly if you’re just starting out and don’t want to spend a fortune on your first machine.

In this reel I’m showing you how I used it during an appointment. I did use my own e-file bits, as these are the bits I’m trained with and use every day in the salon, so I wanted to give the drill a fair test using what I already know and trust.

The handpiece feels comfortable, the controls are straightforward, it has forward and reverse, and I found the speed easy to adjust while working.

Would I swap my professional e-file for it? Probably not, but I don’t think that’s really who this drill is aimed at.

Would I recommend it to someone starting their nail journey and looking for an affordable first e-file? Yes, I would.

It’s simple to use, does the job and gives you the chance to get comfortable using an e-file without making a huge investment straight away.

As always, an e-file is only as good as the person using it, so proper training and using the correct bits is really important.
