An amazing two days teaching at the learning curve in Huddersfield 🫶

13 students trained in oncology & fibrotherapy massage all ready to go out there and make a difference! What an amazing & inspiring group of ladies they were .. all just wanting to add to their skill set to make more of a difference & help more people.

Jo has just completed the fibrotherapy massage training and had a little practice before starting case studies… it sounds like she did an amazing job!

Today, I trained a lovely therapist who is just beginning her journey in the massage industry.

She came to me to complete her Full Body Massage qualification, which is the first step before progressing on to Manual Lymphatic Drainage.

At the end of the day, she thanked me and later sent me a message that simply said she had felt emotional at times.

The word she used was…

Connection.

That one word has stayed with me all evening.

It made me stop and reflect on why I started CWC Training Academy in the first place.

After someone I loved was diagnosed with terminal cancer, I trained in Oncology Massage so I could support him in the safest and most compassionate way I knew how.

That experience changed the course of my life.

It made me realise that one therapist can make a real difference to the people they treat…

But if you train hundreds of therapists, together you can make a difference to thousands.

When I started CWC, I didn’t set out to build the biggest training academy.

I didn’t set out to create the most courses or win awards.

I simply wanted to help therapists become more confident, so they could go on to help more people.

Yes, qualifications matter.

Knowledge matters.

Technique matters.

But I also believe something else matters just as much…

Connection.

Connection with your clients.

Connection with your purpose.

Connection with why you chose this profession in the first place.

If my students leave with a qualification and a renewed belief in the difference they can make, then I’ve achieved exactly what I set out to do.

Some conversations stay with you.
