Yesterday was another 🔥☀️ hot sunny day for us all. At The Star, I decided to make strawberry and banana smoothies and offered them to our residents, along with other cold drinks, and ice lollies to help keep everyone cool during this heatwave. ☀️🔥

The smoothies were very well received by the residents. The strawberry smoothie was especially popular and seemed to be the favourite. It was lovely to see everyone enjoying the refreshments and staying hydrated in the warm weather.

We would all like to wish Marcus a very Happy Birthday! 🎂🎉

At The Star Nursing Home, we were delighted to welcome David earlier this week to entertain our lovely residents.

David performed a wonderful selection of songs from the 1960s, and our residents thoroughly enjoyed singing along and dancing to the music. One resident was so inspired that they even took the microphone from David and treated everyone to a song of their own! 🎤

David also took the time to visit several residents who were bed-bound and unable to join the group session, singing to them individually. This thoughtful gesture meant so much to them and was greatly appreciated.

Everyone had a fantastic time, and the visit brought smiles, laughter, and wonderful memories to our residents. It was a truly beneficial and enjoyable experience for all involved.

At The Star, we always make sure our residents are drinking plenty of fluids and staying well hydrated. Maintaining good hydration is important for their health, wellbeing, and overall comfort.
