Colebrook Foot Clinic

The ongoing saga of the broken broadband (three months and counting) is now compounded by a fault on the phone line. You can call me, but I can't return the call! Three Openreach engineers have checked the line and all declared there's nothing wrong with it.

I have ordered new services elsewhere, and hope to have everything running smoothly again soon.

For anyone trying to get hold of us today, all our systems were down! The lovely IT chap has managed to talk me through all the tech and reset the routers and we are finally back online. Messages will be replied to as soon as possible, thank you for your patience x

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, footwear is often the reason your feet hurt!

• Lack of room in the toe box can cause callus, corns and ingrown toe nails.

•Pressure from adjoining toes can cause permanent nail deformities.

•Lack of room to breathe can cause fungal nail infections and athletes foot between the toes.

•The toes are forced into unnatural positions that lead to bunions and clawed/hammered toes.

Listening to the radio and Nancy Sinatra's "Boots" came on. Very apt I thought.....

I need to make a Podiatry/Chiropody playlist! Hit me up with suggestions for foot or shoe related tunes. I have a feeling there won't be that many!

NEW CLINIC OPENING HOURS FROM 1st OCTOBER:

Wednesday to Saturday from 8.30am to 5.30pm.

Whichever way we look at it, from 1st October our costs are likely to go up due to increased energy costs, and this is on top of the constant small price increases we have absorbed throughout this year on most of our consumables such as dressings and creams.

As the clinic is my only source of income I need to be sure that I protect both the clinic and myself from any financial difficulty. I am also trying to avoid having to increase my prices as this just adds to everyone's problems!

To keep costs down as much as possible I have decided to change the clinic hours so I’m not paying to heat and light the rooms all week. It will also give me two complete days to work as a locum for the NHS if I need to supplement my income.

Should costs jump up ridiculously again in January, I may be forced to review this further but please rest assured I will fight hard to stay affordable.
