With my maternity leave very quickly approaching I wanted to give you all a list of my trusted friends who are happy to take care of you while I am off,

I am working until the 9th April but after this I politely ask that any hair related questions be sent to my work phone, I will be switching it on once a week to check up on admin while I am off but that will be it so I can enjoy the break if you need this number I’m happy to send it over # # #

Just a gentle reminder to get your next appointments in, I am heading off for maternity leave in just over 10 weeks so please get yourselves booked in to avoid any disappointment. I will NOT be squeezing anybody in or working any extra so please bare this in mind. I have also reduced down to 1 evening a week. These slots are almost gone so please if you want an evening let me no asap. All messages regarding appointments are to be sent to my work phone not personal.

We would like to wish all of our wonderful clients a happy new year and thank you once again for your continued loyalty.
Our first day back is Wednesday 15th Jan so please bare in mind message responses will be a little slower than usual while we continue to enjoy the time with our family’s after an extremely busy December. If you don’t get a response from my work phone please be patient and try not to message my personal phone. I will get to all appointments every few days and I’ll be switching it off in between. we are also putting lots of work into the salon giving it a much needed spruce up!
We will be making some changes to our opening hours in the new year so please keep an eye out for those. The biggest change being our late evenings. There will only be 1 a week so please get these appointments booked way in advanced because we will not be doing more going forward.
Kate will also be reducing her work load moving forward meaning less back to back appointments so again please get your appointments booked in in advanced to avoid disappointment # #

CHRISTMAS HAS ARRIVED AT THE BASEMENT 🌲
PAYMENT CHANGES!
Unfortunately due to having to chase so many payments we have decided to tighten our payment policy, going forward we will be unable to take end of month payments and we will also require payment before the end of the day. We undertand signal can be a little spotty but we do have WiFi so payment before leaving would be preferred

Good afternoon to all our amazing clients
As mentioned in a previous post there will be a price increase as of Wednesday 31st January
This is something we hate to do but unfortunately can’t put it off any longer. Over the past 18 months since our last price increase product costs have absolutely sky rocketed and our current price list is no longer an accurate reflection.
You many notice that some things haven’t gone up at all while other things have gone up considerably this is all based on product inflation and unfortunately foil and lightener being the biggest rise
We put a lot of time into working out our pricing so we can be as affordable as possible while maintaining a decent wage for ourselves, we are both terrible at charging what we should be because we feel bad but unfortunately now these will be the prices charged as we can’t be out of pocket
I hope you all understand and we thank you all so much for your loyalty and supporting our small business

PAYMENTS AND PRICE INCREASE
Good morning valued clients,
When we reopen in the New Year, we will be implementing some changes to the way we process payments within The Basement. From the 3rd January 2024, we are requesting payments to be completed within the salon prior to leaving following your appointment. To make this process easier for our clients, we are providing details of our secure WiFi password to aid with access to banking apps. This information will be displayed on each station. If you foresee being unable to do this on the day, then you will need to discuss this with your stylist prior to the appointment. At the discretion of the stylist, a date then be decided and approved for this payment; this is on a case-by-case basis and not to be considered as a regular arrangement. This is to help eradicate the need for us to chase payments sometimes several weeks after an appointment.
In addition to this change, we are also making you aware of our intention to raise prices, coming into effect from Wednesday 31st January. It is not a decision we have made lightly but feels it is a fair and professional decision in light of the ongoing rising costs to our products.
