✨📚Level 6 update: Wrapped up another 2
days of Level 6 training in Brighton on Monday and Tuesday this week.
Swapping the treatment table for the classroom for a couple of days always gives me such a fresh boost of energy!
Every time I head to Brighton for Level 6 training, I come back with sharper assessment tools and new ways to help clients navigate persistent pain.
A special thank you to my girlfriend for coming up to keep me company in my downtime.💖
Fully restocked on knowledge and back in Cornwall doing what I love best. ✨

⭐️What Does Level 6 Advanced Clinical & Sports Massage Actually Involve?⭐️
This Monday and Tuesday I'll be swapping the treatment room for the classroom continuing my Level 6 training, to learn, develop, and bring that knowledge back into my practice.
I get asked quite frequently about my Level 6 training, so I thought I’d explain a little more about what it involves:
Level 6 Advanced Clinical & Sports Massage is a big step beyond simply learning massage techniques. Instead of just treating the symptoms, it identifies the root cause of pain and movement issues to create a truly personalised treatment plan for the individual.
My training has included areas such as:
• Advanced anatomy and physiology
• Assessment and clinical reasoning
• Persistent and complex pain
• Sports injuries and rehabilitation
• The nervous system and pain science
• Fascia and the fascial system
• Breathing and nervous system regulation
• Self-care and rehabilitation
• Adapting treatment to the individual
• Working safely with different presentations and conditions
• Research and evidence-informed practice
For my Level 6 research project, I have been looking at the effects of the Jing Method of Clinical Massage on PTSD symptoms in adults.
Pain is complex. This training shifted how I think and treat, focusing on understanding what's driving your symptoms so we can find realistic solutions that work for you.
11 years in, I'm still learning and improving because being a good therapist means never stopping learning. ❤️

✨Beyond Pain Wellbeing Club: Understanding Persistent Pain Workshop
Our first Beyond Pain workshop was a huge success! Thank you to everyone who made the morning so warm, open, and empowering.
Beyond Pain isn't about promising a cure, telling people it's "all in their head", or pushing a single magic fix.
So many people live with pain for years, feeling stuck or fearful of making things worse.
The Beyond Pain workshop was created to give you a safe space to learn, move, ask questions, and build practical tools that give you back control. No magic cures, just real, evidence-based support.

The last four days have been spent in Brighton at the Jing Institute of Advanced Massage Training, assisting with teaching, and as always it has been an absolute pleasure.
It's inspiring to watch the Advanced Clinical Massage (ACMT) and ACMT Intensive students develop their skills, confidence, and clinical reasoning throughout the course.
Over the four days, they explored the assessment and treatment of lower back pain, neck and shoulder pain, shoulder girdle dysfunction, and leg, knee and foot pain, alongside developing thorough consultation and clinical assessment skills.
I'm also incredibly excited to share that I've been accepted onto the second stage of the Jing Teacher Training Programme. It's a real privilege to continue developing as both a clinician and educator, and I'm looking forward to continuing this journey.
A huge thank you, as always, to the wonderful Jing team, my fellow teacher training colleagues, and all of the students for making the week such an enjoyable and rewarding experience. I can't wait for the next one!
