Something for our level 3’s, a full head lightener application 🌟 here’s how we did it 👀
1) remove any unwanted length
2) apply lighter to the regrowth and darker mid section, leaving 1/2 and inch of root (remember heat from the scalp causes roots to lift faster)
3) apply a lower strength lightener to the rest of the mid section and ends (remember to keep and eye on previously lightened hair. We don’t want to over process it)
4) go back and apply lightener directly to the roots, making sure everything is well saturated and leave to process (take regular strand tests and check the hairs condition)
5) once the hair has lifted to the desired level (we were aiming for a level 10) rinse and tone to the desired shade, shampoo and condition
6)We then cut the clients hair in a long graduation and blow dried to see the finished result
Here is what we used to achieve this result 👱♀️
⭐️Matrix Light Master 6%-20vol for the darker mid lengths and the roots
⭐️Matrix Light Master 3%-10vol for the ends
⭐️Matrix BOND Ultim8 protecting system (added to lightener and treatment at the basin)
⭐️Matrix sheer acidic toner Sheet Violet with developer lotion 2.7%
⭐️Matrix So silver shampoo and conditioner
⭐️Matrix miracle creator

Today we have been working on rolls
This is our step by step guide on how to create a simple horizontal roll ✨
Check out our previous post for the vertical roll
1) Prepare your area. You will need grips, bands, a hairup brush or dressing out comb, and hairspray (don’t forget your PPE!)
2) Prepare your clients hair. This can be done using heated rollers, wands or tongs or root crimpers. A loose curl/wave is best for this look
3) Put the hair into a low ponytail
4) Make a hole in the middle and pull the ponytail through, creating a twist (you can tease some pieces to add more texture, creating a more loose/undone effect)
5) Comb through the remaining ponytail and secure you ends with another hair band. Then tuck the ends into the twist you created, making a roll shape. Secure using grips. You can tease some pieces to add more texture and finish with hairspray
Always check your balance using your mirror and make sure your grips can’t been seen 👀
Zoe has been showing us how to cut a true short graduation for when we all need a chop after lockdown 🤪
You can never practice highlights enough ✨✨
