Nails by Kim

This is my niece Ruby. A couple months ago we were told what we thought was a football injury was instead a rare form of cancer. She is a proper trooper though and I couldn’t be more proud of her.

All our thoughts and prayers with the brooks family through these tough times🙏

Ruby is 17 years old and recently been diagnosed with Ewings Sarcoma in her knee. At first it was thought it was a sports injury, from playing alot of football, but after further scans and a biopsy, they realised it was this very rare form of cancer. Ruby is part of the Plymouth Argyle Post 16 programme, which she loves, but unfortunately cannot play at the moment. It also meant that she missed out on a trip to America, with the rest of the team, which was really difficult for her .
She is about to start 6 months worth of treatment, which is going to be a tough journey for her and the family .

Oscar her brother is one of the boot banks players so we are going to have a Charity Football Match, we will confirm the date as soon as possible

The family have asked for Half of the money that is raised to go the Football BootBank and the other half will go to Teenage Cancer Trust.

We are trying to raise as much awareness as we can for everyone.

I am off on holiday for a week. Will be back on Monday 13th. I won’t be able to answer messages right away as will be being spun and flipped upside down on rollercoasters for the week.
