A hack for the root lifting hack 😂 it’s hackception! A couple of people have said that their hair gets caught in the teeth when they use this root lifting hair tool. Try one of these two methods and let me know if it helps! ❤️

Spotted this root lifting tool in and had to try! It definitely works! You just have to be extra mindful about diffusing the areas near the clips - you could easily leave some damp bits under the clip. However, it didn’t feel like it gave me any more lift than just whacking a giant claw clip across my parting, which is what I usually do. 😂 Have you tried anything like this?

If your curls lose definition and fall flat quickly, or you have a lot of fluffy halo frizz, you could be using too many or too-heavy conditioning products in your routine.

So much curly hair advice assumes that your curls are dry and need deep conditioner, curl creams, oils…but that’s not always the case for fine hair.

Try stripping your curly routine back to basics: a shampoo that removes buildup, a lightweight conditioner, and a strong hold gel. No creams, no masks, no oils. And make sure your products don’t contain too many oils or butters - our fine hair gets weighed down so easily!

Does this sound like you? Will you try this? If you do, follow me for more fine curly hair tips and routines 😉

Lil curls in London vlog testing out ’s new extreme weather strong hold curl gel while I also head to London for their launch event! (Ad/pr invite)
How do you think the curls held up? They did very well considering I spent most of the train journey twiddling them 😂

Curly hair myths I was told when I first started to look after my curly hair…did you hear these too? The truth is, there just isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach to curly haircare - a tip or product that was a game changer for me could have the opposite effect on someone else’s curls. But a lot of curly hair advice out there is geared towards thicker, coarser hair, so my advice tends to work best on fine hair!

Add any other curly hair myths you were told below! 👇

Does this ever happen to you when you style your curls? Sometimes applying a new curl styler is just a case of trial and error! Even I apply the wrong amounts sometimes 🥲

If you apply too little styler, you can sometimes add more once it’s fully dry by doing a dry refresh (smoothing a little more styler mixed with water over your curls).
If you apply too much, dry shampoo can sometimes soak up some of the excess. But in my case, I just had to rewash my hair. 😂 live and learn!
