So a little while ago I made the decision to step out of the industry and pursue a career change due to personal reasons. It’s taken me a while to come to this decision, but I’m finding that lately I just haven’t been happy. Covid-19 has been a blessing for me, and given me the time to think, and realise what I really want in life...

Unfortunately I won’t be continuing with nails for the time being. I’m excited to get stuck into my new role, and I’m excited to see what the future brings! 🤩🙌🏼

My last day as a nail tech was (unknowingly!) Wednesday, so I know this is probably a shock to the system for a lot of you, especially my long-term clients. I’ve had a blast and I just wanted to post something on here, just to say THANK YOU to every single client that I have have met along my journey as a nail tech. You’ve celebrated with me, watching me get engaged, married and pregnant, and supported me through losing a child and more recently a parent. I’ve also seen your own highs and lows, and I’ve made some genuine friends for life, and I’m so grateful for that.

So I guess this is goodbye for now... 👋🏻

💅🏼⭐️ IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT ⭐️💅🏼

As many of you may have seen, the government has announced that beauty salons are now allowed to open from Monday! 🙌🏼 This has come as a shock to most of us, as rumours were looking around August!! Because of the lack of notice from the government, and a couple of personal appointments I’m unable to open Monday so I’m looking at next Monday 20th July.

At the moment, I’m making the decision to only take on existing/past clientele. I need to minimise the amount of clients I do daily to ensure I have enough time between clients to thoroughly clean and sanitise all equipment - Normally I don’t have enough time to eat/drink so this will be a massive adjustment for us all. 🙈

Face masks will be COMPULSORY for every client. If you forget your mask I will have some in the salon but they will be charged at £1 per mask. If you cannot wear a face mask, I will not be able to perform any treatment on you at this time...

I will also be asking every client to wash their hand on arrival, and I will be wearing gloves and also washing my hands throughout my workday. Hand sanitiser will also be available on my desk.

Unfortunately pedicures are temporarily unavailable as I don’t currently have the facilities to make it safe for all.

Finally, please respect social distancing where you can in The Tanning Studio. Please only turn up to your appointment on time to minimise waiting time, and only use the toilet when absolutely necessary due to cleaning times...

So anyway, I’m now open to bookings so please message me! I know most salons are working through a cancellation list - but honestly March was a traumatic month for me, so I honestly have no idea where I left off! 🙈😂😂
But thank you all for sticking by me, and being amazing and understanding throughout this bumpy road!! 😅

With a heavy heart, I’ve decided I’m going to have to shut up shop for the time being. I’ve been deliberating whether to do this or not, but it just seemed very irresponsible of me to continue working with the Covid-19 crisis that’s going on around us.

I’ll be evaluating the situation week by week, and I’ll keep in touch with anyone who has any upcoming appointments. For now I’ll be cancelling all of my appointments for the next 2 weeks, and going from there.

A week ago I also lost my dad very unexpectedly, so with his funeral only around the corner, I would be devastated if I couldn’t go (that’s if I’m even allowed to go due to CV19!).
My mum is also in the ‘vulnerable’ bracket, I am also very aware of her wellbeing.

I feel very guilty in this situation. I feel like I’ve let you all down, but I know that this is best for everyone...

I don’t post a lot of personal things on here, but I’ve been banging on about this bike ride for what feels like years!! 🚴🏻‍♀️😂

In just over a weeks time me and my husband Ed will be cycling 260 miles in memory of our little boy Michael who will be turning 2 half way through our ride. We will be raising money for Little Things & Co., a baby bereavement charity that has helped us in so many ways over the past 2 years. 💜

Now with just over a week to go, we’d really love to make our target... Any support is massively appreciated by us both!
