Does every inch matter?👀..

Absolutely it does 😂 with my new client Ashleigh here, one of the things I spoke about during the consultation is the length vs. weight ratio. When dealing with short, blunt hair & adding extensions, length & weight are super important to getting a flawless end result. She had originally asked for a longer length but we ended up settling 16”, which we both loved anyway!

Why does it matter? If I had 100g of 16” hair, or 100g of 20” hair you’d be led to believe they’re the same thickness because they’re both 100g, which is actually wrong! With longer lengths, some of that weight is used up in the length of the hair.

E.g 20” 100g = 5g per inch vs. 16” 100g = 6.25g per inch.

These small difference have a huge impact on the finished result. To give my client 20”, I would’ve had to have compensated for the length by adding more weight, which wouldn’t have been suitable for her scalp/hair type.

Length, thickness & weight are all completely independent from each other whilst also being closely tied together.
