A little proud moment for our Classy Nails family! 🩵
When the salon isn't too hectic, Jenny (Ngoc) always loves having a good natter with you all at her nail desk. But lately, those daily chats have taken on a deeper meaning.

We are so proud to share that she has officially joined the Plymouth Community Cancer Champions Project. This is something very close to our hearts. Recently, we sadly lost a lovely client to cancer, and that heartbreak gave Jenny the extra motivation she needed to get involved.

Our nail salon is often a safe space where we share our worries, including health concerns. By joining this project, Jenny hopes to gently encourage early check-ups and point anyone who needs it in the right direction.

Between this and her regular blood donations, it’s just her way of giving back to the Plymouth community that supports our business every day.

Whether we’re picking out your next colour or you just need a safe space for a chat, our door at 20 Frankfort Gate is always open. 💅✨

Please welcome our newest Plymouth Community Cancer Champion - Ngoc 😊

Ngoc was introduced to us by another cancer champion, Sam, and we feel very honoured when that happens.

Ngoc works at Classy Nails Plymouth and so chats to people all day as part of her job. Those chats can be about anything and sometimes health worries and concerns are part of those conversations. Encouraging people to seek help early (and helping people be more cancer aware) when it comes from someone you know and trust, can make all the difference.

Today, we experienced one of those moments that reminds us why this job is about so much more than just doing nails. It’s about the people, the connections, and sometimes, the deepest heartbreaks.
For a long time, Rosie, Belinda, and Elaine were a deeply loved presence at our salon. Every three to four weeks, they would arrive together after work. The moment they walked in, the salon was instantly filled with life, endless chatting, and so much laughter. Seeing the three of them together was always a highlight for us.
But the last time Rosie visited, things were different. They shared the devastating news that she had just been diagnosed with a serious illness and was facing the toughest fight of her life. When she told us, we held her close. We gave her the warmest hugs and shared words of encouragement, firmly believing she would beat it. We told her to stay strong and that we couldn't wait to see her back.
We never, ever imagined that hug would be our last.
Today, Belinda and Elaine walked through our doors without Rosie.
The salon felt entirely different. There was a heavy sadness, yet a profound sense of love. To honour their best friend, Belinda and Elaine chose to get the exact same nail design—each featuring a single, hand-painted rose.
Watching those little roses being painted today was incredibly moving. It wasn’t just nail art for us. It was a beautiful, quiet way for two best friends to say their final goodbyes, carrying a piece of Rosie with them.
Rosie, thank you for every smile, every kind word, and the joy you brought to us. You leave behind two amazing friends whose loyalty and love are truly inspiring.
Rest peacefully, Rosie. You fought bravely, and you will be deeply missed.
