Sewing lessons led by a tutor with 45+years experience "A Thing of Beauty Sewing Studio is based at Mamhilad Park Estate. I've been here since August 2021.
During this time I have developed a well stocked haberdashery, that includes a Gutermann stand of threads. My passion is to teach people new skills, mostly dressmaking and also knitting, crochet, patchwork, quilting (EPP) doll and toy making etc. I run small sewing classes to ensure client's gain the most from their sessions. I regularly run bespoke, client-led workshops that focus on improving techniques and transferable skills. Past workshops have included trousers, pinafore dress, quilted bomber jackets, dressing gown, seasonal decorations, quilts and ragdolls. I have a range of sewing machines and overlockers for clients to use

I was very lucky to be gifted two balls of this Geek yarn from a friend's trip to Japan 🧶🧶🧶
I used it to make a Möbius scarf to keep out the autumn chills 🍂🍁🍂

I'm enjoying a well earned busman's holiday with my sister in Yorkshire.
The best time, knitting, sewing and crocheting with someone special ❤️
Today's project is a double rib cast off edging on a neck scarf.
Around 300 stitches to pick up 🙈

Finished the second of three pairs of hand knit socks ready for the winter. I've reinforced the heels as I always seem to wear a hole in my heels.

Finished the first of three pairs of hand knit socks ready for the winter. I've reinforced the heels as I always seem to wear a hole in my heels.
This yarn is from Wonder wool Wales 2026 and is Frida Kahlo inspired, I was looking for pink and green and this was the closest I could find.
