I help people with pain and injury to hurt less, move better, and live more!

I have to give a massive shoutout to this man! He is the most amazing husband ever!

All the way through, he’s been the one behind the scenes washing and drying all the laundry. And ironing the pillowcases. Putting up with having dinner late because I was home late from work.

He’s driven me all over the country when I’ve taken courses (and then found a mountain bike trail nearby 😉).

And today, he’s given up his entire day to help me move all the furniture out of the clinic.

The last 5 years wouldn’t have happened without him! 👏

He has made so many sacrifices to support me with running this business, and he’s been so patient, kind and loving the whole way through.

So of everyone, Gary deserves the most thanks for everything. 😍

I can’t wait to spend more time with him now. And maybe look after him a little bit too. 😘

My little helper 🥰🤣

So much truth in this! 🤣

Some days, I really do just want a massage, rather than to be giving one to someone else. 🫣 Why?

Massages are amazing!! 🤩 Besides the fact that they feel nice, they engage your parasympathetic nervous system, which is your rest, restore and relax system.

And let’s be honest, who doesn’t need to take time to rest, restore and relax?! 🧘‍♀️

We all do.

So make it your goal to prioritise you today. ☺️

P.S. The English teacher in me is twitching about the lower case “I” in this! 😫 Definitely time to schedule myself for some treatment! 😘

End of a busy day and a busy week in the clinic! ☺️

Time to start the weekend! 🥳

"We've got four main receptors that we're talking about on this particular slide. There are other receptors in the body that are autonomic. So they're automatic, respond to the environmental changes internally. These ones respond to external forces as well. So we've got Golgi receptors that you'll know from doing METS. So if you do a muscle energy technique, then you can stimulate the Golgi receptors. We've got Pacinian corpuscles, which respond to rapid pressure or vibration. So this is why HVT things like the vibration cups, the vibration guns, the massage tools, that those kind of things will affect predominantly that type of receptor, and then the Ruffini endings are more sustained pressure. So the kind of "myofascial" long, slow holding type techniques."

We finally managed to write a newsletter, edit it, and send it out!! 🥳🥳🥳

I can’t even tell you how many times I’ve drafted a newsletter and not managed to type it up! 🙈

I’m super excited that this one made it! And we’re already starting on next months.

I have to admit that this one happened because of the amazing Paige. She’s keeping me organised, making sure I actually write the content. And then she edited it to make it look as beautiful as it does. 🥰

Make sure you check your inbox (and your spam folder 😬) because this one is important. ☺️

Best way to spend a Sunday evening before going back to work tomorrow 😍

It’s so great to recharge by the fresh sea air. An amazing way to reconnect with nature and to find a sense of calm!

Rest and relaxation isn’t just about taking a break from work—it’s also about moving your body, breathing in the fresh air, and being outdoors.

So we hope you managed to get outside today and let the outdoors be your place to recharge. 😘

So proud to be a sponsor of the Cornwall Running Show again! Two years in a row! 🥳

This is such an amazing event, and it’s so important for our local community for so many reasons. Not only does it spotlight the very best support you can receive locally, it provides an opportunity for us to connect with people who are interested in similar things.

Whether you’re a runner or not, this is definitely an event you should attend! 😘

We are super excited and grateful to announce another sponsor Redruth Massage and Movement 🙏🙏

Not only are they exhibiting for a 4th year, they are returning as a 2nd year event sponsor also! Grateful is an understatement, having the support from these local businesses is just AWESOME 🤩

Enjoying our staycation with Gary and exploring the coastal path along the Lizard today!

It was a tad bit wet…well, super wet and we got soaked, but it was so good to get out into the fresh air and ramble along the coast. And walking is a great way to add movement to your day—so good for your mental health as well as your physical health! ☺️

It’s funny because I’ve had so many conversations lately with clients about this exact same thing: If you can’t get to the gym or don’t have the energy to go running, what about a walk? Even just 10-15 minutes to walk around the block will help you feel better, and if you aim to increase by just 10% every week, you’ll be amazed at how much you do by the end of the month!

This week, I’ve been doing a step challenge to increase my daily steps by 2,000 a day. That’s not much at all, but I feel so much better for doing it. So this staycation, we’ll be walking as much as we can.

Hope you can add some movement to your day too! 😘

Twenty years later 🥰

Gary and I are celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary today! It definitely doesn’t feel like it’s been 20 years! Where has the time gone?! 😱

So I’m taking a few days off this week, and I’ll be back in the clinic next week. Charlotte is in this week, so if you need anything, please do get in touch! ☺️
