Over the past few years how we colour hair has definitely changed!

Gone are the days when the majority of clients want bold colours, stripes of blonde and want their roots touched up once a month!

2026 is all about soft dimension, colours that flatter your natural skin tone and techniques that blend away those 'natural, colourless sparkles '

POV: You’re Nova’s scissors during August ✂️👀

Listen... I love my job, but nobody warned me about the August curl rush. While everyone else is lounging on the beach, I am in the salon running a full-blown marathon.

As her favorite pair of Leaf Scissors, I get zero rest. The moment a glorious set of curls walks through the Novalux door, Nova grabs me and it’s go-time. Summer humidity hits, the coils double in size, and suddenly we are in full custom curl-shaping mode.
I’m out here snipping individual ringlets, carving out texture, and making sure everyone’s summer hair looks like effortless bounce instead of a humidity crisis.

My schedule this week:
* 9:00 AM: Precision curl-by-curl carving.
* 11:30 AM: Navigating thick summer manes.
* 2:00 PM: Dodging sweat drops while crafting the ultimate shape.
* 5:00 PM: Begging for a drop of blade oil and a well-deserved nap.

I might be working overtime, but honestly? Watching those curls spring back to life is worth every snip.
