A subtle treatment of the nasolabial folds, the lines that run from the sides of the nose towards the corners of the mouth.

This photo was taken immediately after treatment, so you can still see a little redness and mild swelling around the injection sites. This is completely expected and will usually settle over the next few days.

When treating nasolabial folds, the aim isn’t necessarily to completely erase the line. These folds are a normal part of facial anatomy and movement. Instead, carefully placed dermal filler can help:

• Soften deeper creases
• Restore some of the volume lost with ageing
• Reduce shadowing around the folds
• Create a fresher appearance while keeping the face looking natural

Results immediately after treatment are not the final result. The filler needs time to integrate into the tissues and any swelling or redness needs to settle. We normally assess the true result once everything has settled.

The key is appropriate patient selection and conservative treatment. Overfilling this area can make the lower face look heavy, so sometimes supporting volume loss elsewhere in the mid-face may also be considered rather than simply filling the fold itself.

Volume loss through the mid-face can leave the face looking drawn, tired and less defined. By carefully restoring volume in the right areas, we were able to create a fresher, healthier appearance while keeping the result completely natural and masculine.

Restoring mid-face support also helped to soften the appearance of the nasolabial folds and reduce the tired, hollow appearance beneath the eyes.
