Happy to post that I am now able to offer “dry needling” to my list of treatments.
Dry needling is a therapeutic technique used to treat muscle pain and dysfunction. It involves inserting thin, solid needles into trigger points or tight bands within muscles to stimulate a healing response. The needles are inserted directly into the skin and muscle tissue without injecting any substance (hence "dry" needling). This practice aims to release muscle tension, improve blood flow, and reduce pain by triggering biochemical and neurological responses.
Dry needling offers several benefits, including:
1. **Pain Relief**: Reduces acute and chronic pain by targeting trigger points and muscle tension.
2. **Improved Muscle Function**: Enhances muscle activation, strength, and flexibility.
3. **Increased Range of Motion**: Alleviates tightness, allowing for greater mobility and flexibility.
4. **Enhanced Recovery**: Speeds up the healing process for injuries and muscle strains.
5. **Reduced Muscle Tension**: Relieves tightness and spasms in muscles.
6. **Improved Blood Flow**: Enhances circulation to the targeted areas, promoting healing.
7. **Complementary Therapy**: Works well alongside other treatments like physical therapy and exercise.

I’m pleased to announce I’m back up and running re Sports Therapy.
I have moved premises and will be running a clinic every Saturday morning, so please make sure you get booked in ahead of time as slots will be limited.
I am now based in the Bulldogs Boxing Gym Centre.
It’s a lovely private room with its own access, so there will be no need to enter the Bulldogs side.
Thanks everyone for supporting my small business, and I hope to see some regular faces and new faces soon.

Another certificate under my belt.
Instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM) therapy is a therapeutic technique that involves external intervention on the body surface to loosen soft tissues using special therapeutic tools. This technique has been proven effective in improving pain and strength in the patient’s joint range of motion. As a non-invasive treatment method, it is commonly used for soft tissue injuries (such as skeletal muscle, ligament, and fascia) and post-operative recovery
