A deeply relaxing classical soundbath combined with Tibetan bowls

10/06/2026

Most of us spend our lives being stimulated, interrupted, and pulled in every direction.

A lying-down harp concert offers the opposite.

When you are fully supported by the ground, wrapped in blankets and free from distractions, something shifts. The body softens. The breath deepens. The mind quietens. Music is no longer something you listen to, it becomes something you experience.

Deep rest isn’t a luxury. It’s essential.

In a world that constantly asks us to do more, these concerts are an invitation to pause, receive, and reconnect with yourself through the resonance of live harp music.

✨ Upcoming concerts:

📍 Damson Hill Cottage, Swanmore
Friday 10th July | 7:00–8:15pm

By the end of the week, many of us are carrying more than we realise; constant demands, decision-making, screens, and noise. The harp offers a rare invitation to pause. Its rich, elegant tones create a feeling of spaciousness and calm, allowing you to step away from the pace of daily life and sink into a deeply restorative experience. A simple luxury for your mind, body, and nervous system.

Join Soulful Soundbaths on Sunday 14th June at 11.30am at The Yoga Shed, Wickham for a Midsummer Harp & Tibetan Bowl Soundbath.

A Midsummer Immersion; A Harp & Tibetan bowl Soundbath

If you’ve been feeling overstimulated, mentally busy, or disconnected from yourself, this session is designed to help you slow down and reset.

This is not a concert to sit through. It’s an experience to enter. A space where you don’t need to do anything, analyse anything, or keep up with anything. You can simply lie down and let the sound do the work.

Through a carefully shaped soundscape featuring music by Ólafur Arnalds, Max Richter, and Ludovico Einaudi, you’ll be guided into a state of deep rest and awareness.

The intention is simple: to give your mind a break, your body a chance to release tension, and your nervous system space to settle.

Classical Calm: Harmonic Stillness...

A new immersive listening experience, Classical Calm: Harmonic Stillness, will debut in London, bringing together live concert harp performance and resonant sound instrumentation in an intimate setting designed for rest, deep listening, and sensory stillness.

Co-created by harpist and educator Kate Ham and sound practitioner and SHIN founder Julia Shin-Yan Tsang, the 75-minute experience invites guests into a lying-down environment.

Limited to just 12 participants, where live harp performance is interwoven with crystal and bronze singing bowls to create layered acoustic immersion.

Kate Ham, a professional harpist and Professor of Harp at the University of Southampton, brings her background in classical performance, chamber music, and contemporary harp practice. Her approach to live performance, rooted in tonal clarity, phrasing, and acoustic sensitivity, forms the structural and musical foundation of the experience.

Alongside her, Julia Shin-Yan Tsang brings her work in sound-led restorative practice and instrument design through SHIN, shaping the spatial and sensory architecture of the event through crystal and bronze bowl instrumentation and immersive sound design.
