For Samantha Watkins-mcgowan ~ Yesterday the brief was include animal prints especially the very in trend deer print and make it autumnal 🍂

I LOVE an appointment where I’m given two colours and told to just do whatever I want 🧡💙

That was the brief. Two colours… and complete creative freedom.

So this is what my brain threw out…
A bit of blooming, a bit of French, florals, cat eye… absolutely no plan whatsoever, just making it up as I went along.

And honestly, these are the appointments I enjoy the MOST. 🥹

10 clients. 10 hours. ONE very busy Friday

I challenged myself this morning to actually photograph every single client today - because apparently remembering to take a photo after I’ve spent an hour staring directly at someone’s nails is normally beyond me. 🫠

But I DID IT.

From tiger chrome at 8am to full rainbow glitter at 5pm… swipe through a full Friday at The Nail Boutique ➡️

🖤Inspo vs what actually works on YOUR nails 🐦‍⬛✨

My client always books a detailed nail art appointment, so we knew we were going somewhere elaborate… then she showed me the inspo. 👀

I loved it, but I was slightly suspicious it might be AI, and more importantly I wasn’t convinced that recreating all that solid black on her shorter nails would leave enough room for those gorgeous little details to shine.

So she trusted me to go rogue. 🖤

We swapped the heavy black background for a dark-to-light brown ombré, then I painted my own version of the spooky woodland over the top — branches, shadows and the tiniest little crows. 🥹🐦‍⬛

And THIS is why I love detailed nail art appointments.

Bring me the screenshot. Bring me the Pinterest save. Bring me the slightly impossible-looking AI nail pic. We don’t necessarily have to copy it - we’ll take what you love about it and turn it into something that actually works beautifully on your nails.

My top 5 from this week and apparently we’ve all collectively decided summer nails are DONE 🫣🫠

Deep greens. Gold. Cherry reds. Warmer florals. Polka dots. Even the brighter sets are starting to get that little autumn twist and I am so here for it.

Not a pumpkin in sight… yet. 🎃👀
