Soooo a few of you have said I should do a post because I keep talking about the Thailand holiday… so fineeee, here goes, persuaded much 😂😝

2 weeks in Bangkok training Muay Thai = genuinely the best holiday of my life. Ever.

A big group of us from the gym went out there. I only knew a couple of people beforehand! But we all clicked so much. So thank you to everyone here who told me to put my big girl pants on and go - because it ended up being one of the funniest, most unforgettable trips I’ve ever had. Constant laughter from start to finish 🥹

Here’s some snippets of the amazing time I had… the ones I can post on the work account anyway 🥴😂
(FYI run don’t walk - lap dances there are less than £5🤯)

I only started kickboxing around 8 months ago, and it was this coach that invited me on the trip. I made sure to squeeze in a couple of Muay Thai classes before the trip though😆 and loved them!

Most mornings we’d train before it got too hot (…I may have skipped a couple due to being horrendously hungover 🥴😩) and then we’d spend the rest of the day exploring.

We visited an elephant sanctuary, did a Thai cooking class, explored temples, went to a water park, watched fights at Raja Stadium, and watched fights at the local gym we trained at too. Even simple things like all the tuk tuk and moped rides, 7-11 visits, buying more gym gear, was just awesome!

I’m still learning a lot about Muay Thai since only just starting; One of the most special parts of the trip was attending the Wai Kru Festival with our Grandmaster Kru. Wai Kru is a traditional ceremony in Muay Thai where fighters show gratitude and pay respect to their teachers, ancestors and the art itself.
It’s something deeply rooted in Thai culture, grateful our trip lined up with the dates. I was lucky enough to receive a blessing from our Kru Gary too🙏🏻🤗
Seeing how much respect and tradition there is behind Muay Thai made me appreciate the sport even more. Can’t wait to gain more knowledge on it all.

Made such fab memories and gained some wonderful friends for life 🫶💖

It was fun, albeit v v v muddy!!!

Treatment room by week, running shoes by weekend 🏃‍♀️🐾
Definitelyyyyy not something I’d have predicted for myself a year ago. Who am I 💁🏻‍♀️

Wow. What a milestone for me! I’ll be honest, I’m super proud! Never knew what to expect when I started on my own. But here I am, 9 whole years on! And I can only thank you lot for this.
