So I’m starting a little Browetics Student Spotlight series… a space dedicated to showing off the incredibly talented women I’ve had the privilege of teaching 🫶🏼

And first up had to be our gorgeous Charley 💗

One of my absolute favourite parts of teaching has nothing to do with certificates or ticking boxes… it’s watching what happens after the training.

Seeing confidence grow, watching techniques finally click, seeing your work get better and better and then hearing that you’re actually enjoying doing the treatments you once felt nervous about 🥹…. That is the good stuff.

Charley came to me having already completed brow training and had been offering brow services for a few years, but she still didn’t feel completely confident in what she was doing.

Fast forward to now and she’s loving brows, her confidence has completely changed AND she’s gained more brow clients 🙌🏼

And just look at her work…. Incred 🫶🫶

I love teaching snd sharing everything I’ve learnt over the years, I love helping other artists understand the why rather than just telling them what to do, and more than anything I love the little community of girls that has grown around Browetics training.

There is room for all of us in this industry and I will forever be the girl cheering my students on, sharing their work and shouting about their wins 🫶🏼

Also just to be absolutely clear before I get mega trolled again…… 🙄 by the FB Brow Police!

The middle pic is straight after step 1 whilst the cuticle is open and the disulphide bonds have been temporarily broken down……. Of course I didn’t just chuck tint straight on at this point….. I used a step 2 close the cuticle and then continued with my hybrid dye 👊

Honestly at this point I should probably put together a little Ebook of trollage 🧌🤣🤣🤣🤣

A thicker, coarser hair will always present more challenges… and I LOVE working with them…. Keeps me on my toes 👌

It takes longer for that cuticle to open and for the reducing agent to reach those S-S (disulphide) bonds.

And it takes more skill to get those hairs to really lay perfectly flat, with no underprocessed waves hiding in there 👀

This is why understanding the hair you’re working with and actually reading the movement in the hair is SO important.

Setting a timer and just letting them cook is not it 😂

And combined with a hybrid dye… the transformation on these brows is 😮‍💨

Blonde/bronde brows just serve every single time 🫶🫶

I love working with blondy brows because you can make such a difference without having to make them super dark.

And just look at that before 😮‍💨 the difference in these brows is WILD. Still soft, still suits her colouring, but so much more brow.
