To better support my clients and create a more sustainable clinic schedule, I will be trialling my new treatment hours from July 1st.

I have really tried to take into consideration when most of my bookings currently are so I can accommodate everyone. This trial will be for around a month to see if it works, then we will go from there.

💔 The Hidden Cost of Last-Minute Cancellations & No-Shows 💔

As a small business owner, every appointment in my diary matters.

When a client cancels at the last minute or simply doesn’t attend, it’s not just an empty space in the diary. It’s income that cannot usually be replaced, time that has been reserved exclusively for that client, and costs that still need to be paid.

Behind every treatment room are business expenses including:
✨ Rent and utilities
✨ Professional insurance
✨ Ongoing training and CPD
✨ Equipment and treatment supplies
✨ Marketing and booking systems
✨ Tax and business costs

Unlike larger companies, small businesses don’t have teams of staff or corporate budgets to absorb these losses.

Most therapists genuinely understand that emergencies happen, and life can sometimes get in the way. However, repeated last-minute cancellations and no-shows can have a significant impact on the sustainability of a small business.

When you attend your appointment or provide adequate notice if you need to cancel, you’re not just respecting a booking policy — you’re supporting a local business, a livelihood, and the ability to continue providing services to the community.
