✨ Wax Lyrical: PCOS & Hirsutism ✨

Hirsutism is a common symptom of PCOS (Polycystic O***y Syndrome) and refers to excess hair growth in areas like the face, chin, chest, stomach, or back. It is linked to hormonal imbalance or increased sensitivity to androgens.

PCOS (now known as PMOS) presents differently for everyone — for some it affects cycles or skin, and for others it mainly shows as unwanted hair growth.

From a waxing perspective, this is hormone-driven hair growth, not anything abnormal or shameful. With consistent waxing, regrowth can become easier to manage over time and may appear finer.

3 whole years since we opened the doors to our salon 🥳 so does it get easier as we grow? I wish I could say it does but growth comes with its own challenges, I often remind myself about the reason why I keep going:

For my boys, Rhys & Rio - every time I throw a wobbly I look at them and pull myself together, thank goodness for my hubby .s.kandola keeping me tethered else I’d be doolally 🤪

For my team - Amy, Joanna, Elisha, Emili & Lillie - thank you for taking a chance on me and sticking by me through it all 😘 I couldn’t have asked for a lovelier bunch of girls to spend my work days with! The graft has been worth it 🙏🏽
