My client is REGULAR and meticulous in her routine. She books so regular and does home maintenance too, the only thing she doesn’t do is trim her nails unless once in a blue moon or schedules don’t sync.

This is straight after removal of previous gel polished removed, cuticle care and nails cut, cleaned but NOT FILED.

At one point the free edge was suffering from onycholysis. She is on her feet a lot so we agreed to keep the free edge shorter to reduce the impact of the big toenail and reduce the onycholysis (nail separation)

This is after the base coat, so you can see what a healthy toenails should look like without being dehydrated prior to product.

This is an unfiled nail, but cut cleaned and cuticle work done.

I always like to finish file at the end for a crispy pedicure ❤️

Years of trauma, thickened nails, and a client who walked in worried about showing her toes this summer 🦶

Here’s what we did — debridement of the thickened nail, removed the lifted section safely, and reconstructed both big toenails. She wanted to match her manicure so we went with a French and honestly? Holiday ready doesn’t even cover it ✨

Before & After 🦶✨

This one was a combination of callus and a fungal infection on the foot — so we used a combination approach to match. Keratolytic spray to break down that hard skin, followed by scalpel debridement.

The improvement in one appointment? Huge.

The fungal infection is still being treated and we’ll keep reviewing as treatment progresses — because this isn’t always a one visit fix and I’ll always be honest about that 🤍

Not every foot appointment is about pretty toes — sometimes it’s about getting feet healthy first 🦶

This appointment was focused on debridement of fungal toenails — carefully cutting, cleaning, filing, and thinning the nails down so that topical treatment can actually pe*****te and do its job properly.

Light cuticle work finished it all off, and finished with 10% urea cream 🤍

They looked better. They felt better. And now the treatment has a proper fighting chance.

This is the part of foot care that doesn’t always make it onto your feed — but it matters just as much as the pretty stuff.

My client really treats her nails like jewels

You can’t expect your nails to come back in this kind of condition if you are not looking after them.

- Gloves: for cleaning, washing up, gardening
- Open cans/tins with the back of the spoon, not you’re bloody nails
- Don’t pick your nails: underneath, the cuticles, the sidewalls. You are separating the nail from the product
- Be patient: sometimes the product choice can be wrong, I openly admit I have got it wrong sometimes and I will still do. It’s open communication about what’s working and what isn’t. It’s also about being honest about your lifestyle to find the products which works for you. You might need a more flexible or rigid product.

Last appointment was 5 weeks ago.
I like all my toenail reconstruction clients to see me every 4/5 weeks to ensure the nail integrity is kept. It’s very important to check the nail health within a close time period.

The right foot.

We have been removing the onycholysis part out each appointment and slowly, healthy new nail growth and it is reattaching.

Nail trimming, shaping, cleaning around and under the nail removing unwanted debris and cuticle work completed ✔️

The onycholysis on this nail has almost grown out, with the fast nail growth this should be back to normal on the next appointment.
