HELLO EVERYONE 😊

As you are probably aware Saturday was our last day as team dottylines

It’s the end of an era for us, but also an opportunity for new beginnings and a chance to reset for a new future.

Overtime our industry has changed dramatically which is something we have been happy to embrace and this is our next step on that pathway.

We would like to express our deepest gratitude to all our guests, past and present who have visited us over the last 35 years. It has been our true pleasure and a privilege to serve you, and we send you our heartfelt thanks 🙏♥️

We have worked alongside a multitude of team members over the last 35 years and we are sincerely grateful to them for their part in the dottylines journey. We hope that they enjoyed their time with us, learning both hair and life skills that they could put into action throughout their lives. 🙏♥️

We would also like to give a shout out to our product and business partners who have been there throughout our journey.

• Salon Success who supplied Paul Mitchell products and technical support from day one and with business support from 365
• Neil and the team from Salon Promotions who we have worked with since the early 90’s bringing us Joico, Alterna, Neal & Wolf and finally Olaplex
• GHD’s a revolutionary product that we helped introduce to Preston and the demand was so great we had a wait list of almost 100

We would like to express our deepest gratitude to you our guests both past and present who have supported the salon over the years. It has been a privilege to have been a part of your lives and we send you our heartfelt thanks.

We have worked alongside a multitude of team members over the last 35 years and we are sincerely grateful to them for their part in the dottylines journey, and a special thanks to our dottylines educators who helped grow novice school leavers into professionals and who are still serving the community today.

We would like to express our immense gratitude to Emma and Helen who have both been part of dottylines for over 20 years, and who have shown incredible commitment to the salon and its guests. We can only wish them the very, very best for the future.

HI GUYS,

As you are aware dottylines as you know it, is coming to an end on 3rd of May, and with a lot of thought I have decided to hang up my scissors and find myself something different.

However until the 3rd May I’m looking forward to seeing you all when I return following my surgery.

I have really enjoyed my 20 years at dottys working alongside Emma, Bev and Mick and so many others. All of whom were different characters and personalities but great to be around. It is something I will not forget

Of course, a massive thank you goes out to all the wonderful guests whose hair I have done over the years for your custom, loyalty, friendship and the support and understanding shown especially over the last 12 months with me having time out for both surgeries.

HI GUYS,

I just wanted to reach out and give you lovely people an update moving forward.

As you are all now aware Saturday 3rd May will be our last day in the salon working together as the dottylines team.

The salon is where I began my hairdressing journey over 20 years ago, but it isn’t where it ends for me.

From Tuesday 6th May I will be taking appointments in my new purpose built garden salon in the heart of Penwortham.

I will continue to work Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday with the possibility of adding more availability if the demand is there.

I want to take the opportunity to thank Bev and Mick. It is with their support and guidance that I feel confident to carry on in the hairdressing industry. I wish them well with their future.

I will truly miss working alongside Helen but our friendship will continue.

A massive thank you to everyone for your well wishes since the announcement, as I’m sure you can imagine it’s been emotional and a real end of an era.

Thank you to each and every one of you for choosing to sit in my chair, for sharing your highs and lows whilst letting me get lost in creating wonderful hair.
I really have enjoyed my time at dottylines.

If you are already booked in for your final appointments in the beautiful salon I look forward to seeing you then and making it memorable.

TO OUR DEAR GUESTS,

This year dottylines will have been looking after our lovely guests for 35 years.

Our industry like others has seen many changes over the last decade and after some time of constant pivoting and adjusting to new circumstances this has culminated in a change of direction for us. It is with the teams consensus that we will be treading on our new paths going forward and that Saturday 3rd May will be our last day working together as the dottylines team in our wonderful salon.

We apologise to guests who we have seen recently and that we didn’t mention this to you on your visit, please forgive us but we couldn’t disclose until today, though we felt the need to, and desperately wanted to have told each and every guest individually, this would have proved impossible. To be fair we chose to let everyone know at the same time with the correct details rather than mixed messages being spread. So please do accept our sincere apologies.

So you may be wondering what’s next?

Emma will be launching ‘Emma Allen Hair’ in the heart of Penwortham and she’ll be in touch tomorrow to tell you about her plans so please do keep watching our socials.

Helen has decided it’s time for a change and is looking for a new challenge, so exciting times ahead for her.

As for Michael and me we will be reducing to a 3 day week as from May and will be working in the salon 8.30am to 4.30pm Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday

We will miss working with each other and we will miss our guests who visit, some of whom have been part of our lives for a very long time. This wasn’t an easy decision. However, it feels like the right time to say goodbye to dottylines and look ahead to a new future.

We wanted to give reasonable notice to you our guests because we know how
Important your hair is to you.

All appointments currently booked remain valid up to 3rd May and we will do our best to accommodate new reservations depending upon availability.

WE ARE NOW CLOSED FOR THE CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR HOLIDAYS

LATE SUMMER CLOSURE FOR THIS WEEK ONLY
The salon will be closed from Monday 23rd September for a week for a late summer holiday and we will reopen on Tuesday 1st October at 8.30am. If you wish to book an appointment you can do so either by email, Facebook or by leaving a voicemail and we will get back in touch with you as soon as we are back in the salon. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
