And I’m officially on annual leave! 🥳

I’ll be back in the salon on Tuesday 29th September.

It’s my first week off since March, so it’s definitely needed! At the start of the year I promised myself I’d take 4–6 weeks off throughout the year, the same as someone employed… so far I’ve managed ONE 😂🤦‍♀️

I can’t wait for some proper downtime and to celebrate both mine and Tom’s birthdays 🎂🥂

I’ve got stock orders arriving while I’m off, so if you’ve ordered any goodies, unpacking those will be one of my first jobs when I’m back 📦 Sorry it’s taken longer than usual.

All calls, messages and emails will be replied to when I return. Online booking will still be available as normal while I’m away.

Time to switch off for a bit… see you all when I’m another year older 😂

I’m not the cheapest around and I’m absolutely okay with that!

When you book with me, you’re paying for 19 years of experience, continuous training and research, good quality products, a clean private salon, strict hygiene, aircon, free parking and a therapist who genuinely cares about doing a bloody good job.

I also want my business to be sustainable. I want to still be here, doing what I love, in another 19 years! I don’t want to be a one-minute-wonder salon charging so little that I can’t actually afford to pay my bills and keep the doors open.

And quite simply, after 19 years in the industry, my skills, experience and knowledge are worth more than paying myself less than minimum wage.

I don’t want to be the cheapest.

I’m not here to compete on price. I’m here to give you a damn good treatment and run a business that’s still here for you for years to come.

And hopefully my lovely long-standing clients, some of whom have been coming to me for years and years and the reviews they’ve kindly left along the way, show that I’m doing something right 🥰

For me, it’s never about being the cheapest. It’s about being worth what you pay 💕

Happy 5th Wedding Anniversary to us 🤍

5 years ago today we FINALLY got married!

Our wedding will always remind me just how lovely my clients are. We got married in 2021, when Covid was still very much around and I was SO worried it would ruin everything, again.

So many of my clients very kindly cancelled/moved their appointments so I could stop working and shield myself before the wedding and I’ll honestly never forget how kind and understanding they were.

Most of you are still my clients now, 5 years later 🥹❤️

Anyway… excuse the wedding photo spam. I can’t believe it’s been 5 years already!

Hello September 🍂

Someone pass me the pumpkins and candles!

The ‘ber’ months are my absolute favourite 🥰

September is always a good one for us… our wedding anniversary, my birthday, Tom’s birthday AND my first week off since March 🙌🏼

It’s always a super busy month in the salon too and then before we know it it’ll be Halloween, Bonfire Night and the exciting build up to Christmas.

And with the cosy months coming back, massages will be seasonally returning to the treatment menu very soon too. I only offer them for a few months of the year, so keep an eye out! 💆🏻‍♀️

I will miss the long warm days though. And the closer we get to January and February the more I start to dread them. They are NOT my favourite months.

Although… summer waxing starts in winter! Keeping up with your waxes through the colder months means by the time summer comes back around, you’re already in a good routine and getting the best results… I can find a positive in January if I really try 😆

Anyway… bring on the pumpkins, candles, cosy evenings, autumn walks, roast dinners and all the festivities! 🎊
