Last week I had the best time at the Passion & Purpose Club. 💛
It’s so much fun to step out of the treatment room every now and then, put the phone away, switch off from social media, connect with other like-minded women and simply have fun. We all need those moments.
If you’d told me a few years ago I’d be happily standing in front of a camera, I wouldn’t have believed you. I’ve never been someone who enjoys having my photo taken, but somehow Karen always makes me feel completely at ease.
I absolutely LOVE these photos. More than that, I love how they capture me feeling confident, relaxed and genuinely myself.
Thank you, Karen, for making me feel amazing every single time.
And if you’re looking for a branding photographer who’ll make you feel comfortable, confident and truly yourself, Karen is your woman. She’s honestly the best at what she does.
P.S. This isn’t an ad or a collaboration, just a genuine recommendation because I think she’s brilliant and the best ❤️
🎬 Netflix presents…
How my perimenopause journey changed the way I work as a skin therapist.
What started as my own search for answers became a mission to help other women understand theirs.
This is the story of how hormones, skin and wellbeing became impossible to separate… and why I’ll never treat skin the same way again. ❤️

One of the biggest changes I see in menopause skin isn’t just dryness. It’s a weakened skin barrier.
As oestrogen levels decline during perimenopause and menopause, the skin produces fewer lipids and natural moisturising factors. This makes the barrier less effective at holding onto moisture and protecting against everyday irritants.
As a result, your clients may notice:
✨ Increased sensitivity
✨ Dryness and tightness
✨ Redness
✨ Products they’ve used for years suddenly causing irritation
This is why understanding menopause skin is so important. Rather than reaching for stronger active ingredients, we often need to focus on calming, repairing and supporting the skin barrier first.
When you understand what’s happening beneath the surface, you can create treatment plans that truly meet your clients where they are.
Have you noticed more reactive or sensitive skin in your menopause clients?
I’d love to hear what’s coming up in your treatment room. 💛

Can we normalise saying… business feels hard sometimes?
This week I was chatting to my mentor, Sarah, about the school holidays.
Like so many business owners who are also parents, I found myself feeling torn.
I love my business. I’m passionate about what I do and I have big goals.
But I also don’t want to look back and realise I missed precious time with my children because I felt I had to be constantly working.
Sarah reminded me of something I really needed to hear.
My business is there to support my life, not take over it.
There will always be another post to write, another email to send and another idea to launch. But there won’t always be another summer with my children at this age.
As business owners, we put so much pressure on ourselves to keep going, keep growing and never slow down. The reality is that business has seasons, just like life does.
So over the next few weeks, you might see a little less of me online. Not because I’m giving up or because my business isn’t important, but because I’m choosing to be present with my family.
And I’m finally learning that it’s OK to do that without feeling guilty.
If you’re also juggling work and the school holidays, I hope this reminds you that it’s OK to slow down. Your business will still be there, and sometimes the most important investment you can make is in the moments that you’ll never get back.
Does anyone else ever feel this pull between growing a business and being present at home?
Do you find the holidays a juggle?
