I know I barely post tattoos at the minute but I was so happy to do this Star Wars piece today, I know I’m decades late to the party but recently watched all the films and a couple of series for the first time so was super happy when Matt gave me free reign with a Star Wars piece, still a little more to go on it but absolutely loved doing this 🖤

Sorry for being so quiet on here this year, a really vulnerable post for me but just wanted to open up on why ive not been so active on my socials,

In February this year I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder, after my first major manic episode last year and making a big mess of my life, since being diagnosed I’ve been trialling and testing different medications and combinations which is still ongoing, unfortunately having to avoid a lot of them which can cause hand tremors as a common side effect,

It’s also meant lots of psychiatry appointments, medication reviews, blood tests, ecg’s, which has impacted my work and honestly made me feel s**t having to move around clients and last minute reschedules when I can appreciate how excited people get for a tattoo appointment, as well as the majority having booked days off work,

In all honesty I’m just struggling to juggle everything, between trying to get healthy, self employment and trying to be the best mum I can be, I love tattooing so much, and I love being in the studio with clients and getting to make art for people. It’s everything outside of that I’ve been struggling with, admin has piled on top of me and overall I’m just majorly burnt out.

And can I just say how grateful I am to still have a full diary without posting and advertising, and how grateful I am to the clients who’ve been so kind and understanding if their appointments needed to be rescheduled, it really does make a hard time that bit easier when people give you kindness when you feel like you’ve let them down,

So just a little update and info on why my socials have been so dead, still tattooing and loving what I do, still taking bookings, just moving a lot slower with my admin and messages (which I’ve never been the speediest with anyway) so the patience from all my clients has been so appreciated 🖤

I’ve been hesitant about posting this as this is a public platform and something personal, but if it was a physical health issue I wouldn’t have the same reluctance to talk about it and I fully believe mental illness shouldn’t be a shameful topic, just wanted to let my clients know I’m still tattooing even if im not posting 🖤
