Many of you don't know my story, but I feel I need to be completely transparent about why my working hours are set exactly as they are. 🩺✨

The photo you see here is the day my life changed forever. In 2018, I was involved in a horrific accident. I suffered a tibial plateau break where my knee joint was a clean break and two inches of my shin bone were completely shattered, along with breaking my wrist. 🦴💥 It left me bed-bound for months, facing the impossible task of rebuilding a life that had been broken in an instant. 🛌🏥

During my surgeries to piece my leg back together, I developed Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS). 🔥 To put the pain in perspective, CRPS is ranked on the McGill Pain Index as the most painful condition known to medicine scoring higher than childbirth or the amputation of a limb. While many understand the deep ache of Fibromyalgia, CRPS is a constant, unrelenting "burning fire" in the nerves that never turns off. ⚡️🔥

What many don't realize is that this pain doesn't stop when the sun goes down. I rarely sleep because the intensity is so overwhelming. 😴❌ There are nights when I cannot even bear to have a light blanket touch my leg the hypersensitivity is so severe that even the weight of a sheet feels like agonizing pressure on an open wound. 🧶🚫

When you come to the clinic, I always have a smile on my face. I am jolly and I am present because my clinic is my happy place. 😊💖 I truly love what I do, and I believe that having a positive attitude is what keeps me going. Negativity only pulls you down, and I refuse to let it win. That is why I always strive to remain positive for myself and for all of you. 🌈✨

I give my absolute best to every single person who walks through that door. Because of this, I have to take breaks between my appointments just so I can keep working. ⏳ This is why my availability is limited it is the only way I can physically continue to provide the high-quality care you deserve. 🙌

I keep turning up and I keep pushing myself because I refuse to give up. 💪 But there is a heavy physical cost. When I finish work and the "clinic smile" comes off, I go home in absolute agony. 🏠📉 I spend hours in bed after working just to recover. I physically cannot walk. The "fire" is burning, and the pain is unreal. With the Osteoporosis in my hip and leg, and the curvature of my spine, I physically cannot work a minute more than I already do. 🦴⚠️

I don’t mean to sound rude when I say I cannot open on extra days, but I am at my absolute physical limit. 🛑 If I pushed further, I wouldn't be able to function at all. This isn’t a story of doom and gloom it’s a story of survival. 🦋 This accident showed me how strong I am as a person. I work hard every day to stay positive and show my children that even when your world shatters, anything is possible. 🌟👩‍👧‍👦
